- Here is our first look at the all-new third-generation Dacia Duster, which will go on sale early in 2024. It represents the most significant change in the model’s history, which has expanded to include a hybrid version.

If Dacia come with an attractive finance package here in Ireland like when they first launched then i expect these things to be everywhere! Looks like a massively improved design.
We don't expect a massive price increase with this new version.
Looks great, so will probably be a sales hit.
Seems likely
dusters already are
I hope so.
I can buy cheaper 2020-2023 models then :D
I like it. Attractive design. I’m a fan of simplistic modest cars and I hope Dacia keep up the good work, not try to lean into the premium market as Škoda has done.
We think Dacia will be sticking to its value for money approach with this new Duster.
agree 1000%
Totally agree think cars have become over complicated over last few years
@@mickdaly6537 like you need a manual and you tube countless videos on how to operate the new bmw os. Hideous.
You need a degree in computing software just to operate some things and others you play with for few days then set them and never again touch
Thanks for the video mate
Any time!
Great review thank you
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for review. Will you also do a test drive and report back your findings?
Brilliant car for the times.
Correct!
Love it !!!
Thanks for watching
Nice one I can’t wait to have it on my channel
Thanks for watching
I’m in desperate need of this car!!
Cracking design
Indeed!
Very tempted to trade in my Dacia Duster 2023 for this major improvement. And I highly likely will. 😁
Go for it!
I wouldn’t have bought our new one last year if I knew they were coming out with this on , saying that , I’m not very keen on the new engine lineup , should have left the 1.3 Tce , and what is mild hybrid ?
The difference between mild hybrid cars vs full hybrid cars is that the former make use of electric motors to support the engine during acceleration and when cruising, while the latter allows you to utilize electric power on its own.@@charlestaylor8566
yes, video is very good!
Thank you very much!
I love it inside and out. When is it coming to Greece?
Likely in the second half of 2024
Looks good, pity no diesal option. Hope the aircon, heating buttons would as simple and easy to use as the current generation dusters are.
Decreasing demand for diesel, so it's not surprising to see it dropped.
Looks great but lacking adaptive cruises control it seems. Wouldnt buy a car in 2024 without it but very impressed with this.
True, it would be a nice feature to have.
I like new duster design this car very attractive ❤
We agree!
I just hope renault doesn't repeat the mistakes they have done in the past in the Indian market.
I am a fan of the old duster and i am waiting for this SUV in the Indian market.
What mistake did they make in your opinion?
@@CompletecarIe A couple of mistakes in my opinion
1. Not updating the model while the international markets were getting those updates. We were getting the first gen duster while international markets got the second gen duster.
2. Discontinuing the diesel 4*4 way before the global discontinuation.
3. After sales problems( non availability of parts)
@@CompletecarIeRenault basically did everything it could to give up its market share to Hyundai, Tata amd now Maruti.
Is there a 4X4 auto option? Currently have the 2020 Duster, and its lacking a 4X4 auto version.
Sure, every Duster generation was available with 4x4
There is a 4x4 version, but only as a hybrid.
Only with a manual for now.
Incorrect, the 4x4 comes with the TCe 130 petrol engine, not the Hybrid 140.
@@CompletecarIe 4x4 I need only manual, automatic transmissions is useless.
I like the new designed exterior and interior. It’s just a pity that the engines are so asthmatic…. A 160hp or a 180hp engine would be perfect anything under 150hp is just far too sluggish.
The 1.3tce is great, not asthmatic at all. The older 1.6 Duster engine was terrible.
@@BatfinksWingsi wouldn't call it terrible, just "sufficient"
@BatfinksWings I sold my duster 1.6 petrol after one year. Engine was terribly slow. Think twice about overtaking lorries or trying climb little uphill without loosing speed. Overall it was decent car.
Actually that is not matter so much if you taking into account the legal speed limit and the busy traffic...
We'll know better when we drive it next year.
Nice
Thanks
The time has come since last Friday 26/01/24, I ordered my Dacia Duster 3 full hybrid, delivery will take some time in September, they told me. That is still a long way off
Congrats
Look at the romanian videos where the engineers explain how they designed it to be cost-effective. You'll see the same headlights are on any trim level, low and high, simply because it was cheaper than to design and produce multiple versions. Same goes for many bits around the car. It was cheaper to design one size fits all. This is why the difference from lowest to highest tier is just the engine and some heated parts
Makes a lot of sense.
When is it going to be released?😊
In the second half of 2024.
What are the price points, any idea?
Starting below 20.000€ in Europe
Too soon to say, but expecting only a small price increase over the outgoing model.
Being a duster owner this video ❤Love from India hope there will be a sunroof model in India
Hello to you in India!
Mostly it'll be there. We know how competitive the segment is with seltos, creta, elevate and hyryder/GV sisters. Let's see what comes home.
I have noticed there are no AC vents for rare passengers, is that true?
Wouldn't be surprised to be honest
Yes
There isn't any in this car.
When is it coming out
In the second half of 2024.
Will the full hybrid version be 4wd??
Rather no
Yes, 2 or 4WD switchable
No 4WD with the hybrid, only the TCe 130 petrol.
Does it have a space for a full spare
It has a space saver spare.
Not a full size
Launch date in Ireland???
Possibly Q3 depending on production schedules
I was pleasantly surprised by the design of the new generation of the car, both externally and internally. I didn't even expect it. Because the previous ones had an unpleasant design that was too utilitarian, which oozed cheapness and rather scared away buyers, constantly hinting that it is just a means of transportation! But here the body lines are really beautiful, everything looks modern, stylish and pleasing to the eye.
But the icon that says that this plastic is from recycling... well, it's like spit in the soul. Yes, other manufacturers, as in the case of the Prius, have been doing this for a long time, but why remind everyone of this? Maybe not everyone likes it? Or maybe the owner is not a connoisseur of green, just like the car itself is not yet electric or hydrogen. I bet some of your acquaintances, after seeing that icon, will tease you for the rest of their lives with jokes like "when my branded car gets old, they will make you a new one from its remains."
You make some valid points there.
I want this
It will be available soon
Any word in Irish pricing yet?
Not yet
There's a video from a German reviewer and he was saying under €20k starting there.....but we have paddy tax..so...well you know yourself
yeah, for sure
The existing model in top trim is approx 25k here so if its around that then still great value and it is a big upgrade from the current model
@@redchristy
Steering wheel on the left????
We drove this car in Spain
Yes, there is a big improvement over the look of the previous model, but I am interested in: is there a heated windshield, do the mirrors retract by themselves, do the electric windows retract when locked, is there a rain sensor. These are all things available in other cars from 20 years ago. Dacia upgrades and upgrades the look, but the look doesn't make the car.
Heated windshiled: yes
Do the mirrors retract by themselves? No...manual
Do the electric windows retract when locked? Yes. if you press the close button on the key car twice. This is a classic function on newer dacia/renault cars
A rain sensor: Yes, you can see on the windscreen and on the wiper lever that it has a rain sensor
In Romania on the previous duster, the version launched last year, they came with the option of electric folding mirrors, so it will probably exist as an extra option on the duster 2024.
Dacia doesn't try to be at the forefront of innovation. It has consistently said that it is a value proposition and only adds equipment if it matches what its customers desire and are willing to pay for.
Shame they are not offering the 4cyl 1.3 150 engine from the current model😥
We'll be driving it next month, so stay tuned for the review.
Boot space should be little bit reduce and increase space in 2nd row.
No boot is fine as it is when it's a family car it's normally kids in back and boot full junk for days out
But sir in India we live with our parents, so their should we enough space in 2nd row. 400 ltr boot space is enough for family car.we are not using it as a goods carrier.
We think it's a good balance.
If prices are kept down it will fly out the showroom
We're sure Dacia will be keen to keep the price competitive.
No diesel? Well what should i buy then? 😞
Maybe try a vw golf from 2009 dizel, maybe its fit for you better
Decreasing demand and it's more costly to make diesel meet the latest and future emissions regulations.
Need panoramic sunroof
Would be a nice addition now that they are more common.
That near windows doors black colour sucks, it's like they try to hide recycle
Not a fan of it?
@@CompletecarIe disturbing the design
Fair point
Looks good to compete with new gen cars
We think it looks great too
What is MILD hybrid , should have just left the engines from the last models .😮
Ever tightening emissions regulations mean there is more need for such technology.
When the 7 seater biggester due out
Bigster comes next year, but it might only be a five seater
never.
Beautiful car ..have a mark 2 duster ...love it and it's diesel ...would buy one in the morning if there was a diesel option...big mistake Dacia...it will be a new Skoda for me instead...
Lots of people are missing the option of a diesel.
Full extra version 2024 model and manual transmisio n r u kidding me?😂
There's also automatic
The hybrid will also offer auto.
they will sell billions 🎉
It's likely
I always get disappointed with the foreign auto reviewers. You guys don't know how to show a car to the audience. Check out "Namaste Car" as a reference. We don't need cinematic shots or interested in watching you. Show us the car in first perceptive, like we check out a car in person.
so no diesel ? pass
Correct, no diesel now.
⛔⛔ .... NO DIESEL , NO BUSINESS ......... Keep your batteries !!!
What batteries? There is no electric Duster, only a hybrid.
@@CompletecarIe ⛔⛔.... I'm Dacia Duster 2017 model owner , and Dacia lost me as customer . ........ Like i already said . NO DIESEL , NO BUSINESS !!! ............ What is Hybrid ??? ........ Hybrid it means small petrol engine plus small battery !!! .... NO , thanks , I'm not interested !!! ........ Batteries have many , many downsides !!!!! ......... Here is ONLY ONE of them !!! ....... Take a look at video link ....... " $60,000 to replace battery. The battery costs more than a brand new car! ..... by Motormouth " ........ , SO , KEEP YOUR BATTERIES YOURSELF , I'm not interested .
So a hybrid with no battery - clever technology indeed!
What is that horrid black door panel?! Spoils the design
It's an evolution of features that appeared on previous Duster models.
The consumer doesn't care if the plastic is recyclable or not - he buys a car that works for him. Nobody buys a car based on whether it is recyclable. He accepts that someone else determines whether it is recyclable or not (recycled materials are not the same as others).
We don't expect people to make a purchasing decision purely on that, but it's worth highlighting to raise awareness of such things in the broader context.
I disagree. Cars are chosen for different reasons🚗🚗
I disagree. There can be a possibility to have to choose between 2 similar cars where the only difference to be the recycled materials. Well, in that case, only an ignorant person will choose the car without recycled components. Every action tells who you are. Dacia is not an exception and that's a good thing!
@@MultiArcadian Disagree. Only an ignorant and brainwashed person will choose without comparing the mechanical and chemical qualities.
I love its angularity. This is the first Duster that l would buy on the looks alone. It's a wonderful geometric Le Corbusier building on wheels as opposed to stilts. Admittedly, it doesn't have a roof garden.
Dacia's design team did a great job with this.
