      Hi! I’m in the exact situation. However, my father didn’t renew his Philippine passport. Will his data page still be accepted? And on another note, can one copy be notarized, and then that notarized copy be photocopied 3x? Am I understanding that correctly?

      @aidensrockstaradventures2641 Месяц назад

      @mariadelavictoria3984 need to get Philippine passport. I was in the PI for 3 months and ROB wasn't accepted at immigration either, only gave me 30 days and I got extension. During that time I got my PI passport there. Immigration at the airport said when I come back, use PI Passport for entry and depart. On US soil, show US Passport.

    Hi I’m a uk citizen from birth my mother is Filipino and was a Filipino citizen at the time of my birth and got her naturalisation to become British citizen after my birth. Father is British from birth.
    I’m over 18years old trying to report my birth .
    My parents were married but now divorced and I don’t have contact with father since divorce do I need both parents passports to register my birth or just Filipino parent (mother)?

    • @theimmigrantlawyer
      @theimmigrantlawyer  28 дней назад

      Hello! Since you are over 18 y/o, you shouldn't need both parents' passports anymore, just your Filipino parent's (mother) Philippine passport if that's what you will be using as proof of your mother's Filipino citizenship.

    Hi Lia! I was born in the US and also my birth was reported to the Philippines so I am a dual citizen by birth. However upon entry to the Philippines, my PSA Copy Report of Birth did not qualify as a dual citizenship document and my visa was only for 30 days instead of unlimited time. They asked if I have a Philippine passport or a certificate of dual which I do not have just only report of birth. Do i need to apply for dual citizenship through immigration in the Philippijnes or United States Consulate in order to take the oath and receive a formal certificate? What should be done in my case so I will be able to get longer stay? Right now, as US national maximum visa stay is 30 days and I had to apply for a visa extension since I will be here for 3 months. I thought as dual citizen we can stay unlimited time.

      @dsmdriver2588 I found our answer on the Philippine embassy DC website.
      4. IS IT MANDATORY TO APPLY FOR A PHILIPPINE PASSPORT AFTER THE REPORT OF BIRTH IS COMPLETED?
      It is not mandatory to apply for a Philippine passport after completing the Report of Birth process. However, whenever traveling to the Philippines, especially if staying for an extended period and/or dealing with various public and private establishments such as the Philippine Bureau of Immigration, schools, banks, and real estate entities where proof of Philippine citizenship is required, possession of a Philippine passport, in addition to an approved ROB, facilitates transactions.

    • @raptor1106
      @raptor1106 Месяц назад +1

      Was just at the Philippine Consulate in Los Angeles. The Consul swore in 10 people who just got their dual citizenship. They told that group to apply for a Philippine passport because the ROB will only get you a 1 year visa free stay in the Philippines.

      If your son is under 18 years of age, your wife should apply for her dual and list your son as a derivative. After the age of 18, all is lost.

      Hello! Since nasa California na kayo ngayon, pwede niyo muna itry sa SF consulate (civil@pcgsanfrancisco.org) or LA consulate (registry.pcgenla@gmail.com), depending kung sa NorCal or SoCal kayo nakatira, if they are able to accept your child's application for report of birth; otherwise, you may need to apply through the embassy/consulate sa Japan kasi that's where the birth took place 🙏
