JP! Your filming and editing skills are on another level! Awesome job, such a fun couple of days spending time together making great memories.
How cool...three different perspectives ! I love it.
Adam Shaiken way cool...
Dude! Aviation in the Bahamas is the ultimate! One day you should do a flight to all the islands (with an airport) to compliment your round the world trip
Well Done, keep having the time of your life. I see you are a plane hop from Matts to Steveo.
Cool
JP, La Vagabonde and stevo1kinevo all in one video. It's like the RUclips oscars!
JP's Bahamas Checklist: 07:11
1. We're good
2. Feels good
3. Everything's good
4. Here we go.
Epic!
Yes! EPIC!
I wish more people would see how beautiful our world is. Thank you for another masterpiece JP 😊 you are such an incredible and inspiring human. PS: let you alter ego come out more often 😋 love it
No wayyyy!!!! That’s was me in the Caravan that you can see on take off in GHC. So sad I missed the opportunity to say hello. :( . I have been watching ever since you flew around the world.
Oh wow!!! Two of my favorite RUclips channels combined! Sea + Air! Thanks you for this, man! Amazing!
I had a lengthy comment ready to post and it disappeared. : - ( It was not directly on topic but it also was. The point of it was that the descriptor "DRONE" has a very negative connotation with the public. This is due to all the military "drone strikes" that we hear about on the news. IMO people who use the word "drone" to describe their version of RC hobby aircraft are shooting themselves (and all RC hobby pilots?) in the foot.
Imagine that you liked to race cars and decided to call yourself a racist? Most people would see you as a bad person and would not understand that you're using the term as short for "race car driver". Get the point? A "drone" is designed to kill people, but a quad-copter/multi-rotor is a type of fun RC hobby aircraft.
In reality, all remotely controlled aircraft are "drones" and that includes fixed wing airplanes, helicopters and multi-rotors. I own more than one of each, but don't call any of them a drone. Why? Because the public thinks of drones as spying on the enemy, or bombing the enemy, or otherwise doing harm to other human beings. It's better to use a term that does not have a wide spread negative connotation, such as RC quad-copter, multi-copter or multi-rotor aircraft. Very few people will think of them as being used to kill enemy soldiers OR civilians (by mistake).
Our government representatives can have the same negative views as the average person so using the term "drone" can be counter productive. I would urge viewers/readers here to not use that term when communicating with their senator(s).
S C Yz I feel the opposite, I feel military drones are referred as UAVs in the media. Drones are those fly into controlled air spaces by hobbyists.
Nice!!! Next time you fly into the Bermuda Triangle, if you disappear into another dimension, please promise to upload from where you are....LOL
JP, you're all over You Tube and the country today, love it. First I watched you on LaVagabonde's channel, then got a notification for Matt's flight with you to Big Bear. And now here you are again. Big fan of your vids, keep up the great work.
You should check out his flight around the world with Louis.
I've seen it. In fact, I donated to the making of the documentary. I'm stoked to get a copy.
Somehow the greatest adventure-RUclipsr seems to know each other :)
I really enjoyed all three versions of this trip. The videography on all three was outstanding. It's good to see this kind of collaboration too. Nice work
Myself included, this was really cool watching all three, I've followed all three for years. Nice work.
I know right, that was awesome to see
just watched la vagabond now checking this out .... very cool ,,,,,, subscribed .....
This was awesome JP. Three of my favorite things! Airplanes, Boats, and Free Diving. (JEALOUS). Great job -- so artistic. Loved the music, love your work!
Beautiful! Great video. Came over from La Vagabond. I love flying as well so this bit was simply awesome. Loved the flight home. That is a super sweet airplane. You have the dream life :) F
The flight school link doesn’t work. I realize it was 5 years ago. Approximately how much would the cheapest plane cost to fly myself to the Bahamas? Including a pilot. Ballpark numbers?
2:10 Riley is such a boss and Elayna is such a stunning beauty. What a great couple to follow on the tube.
thanks for this beautiful and well-edited video with good spirit, vibes and content!
You killed it with this one, dude! Absolutely stellar cinematography and editing!
Hey! On Sailing La Vagabondes vlog you said your vlogs suck. That's a lie and I believe that means you have to come to come to Scandinavia and fly with me. Your vlogs rock, and it's awesome to see your adventures.
JP I know you flew around the world with the hippy guy,but what exactly do you do?Are you a career pilot or just a rec. pilot?
Wow. Excellent video. Perfect editing, great content.
So you flew to the Bahamas - flew over your friends and then landed in Miami?
Holy crap this edit is incredible 🙌
I suppose the real question is why is this video interesting? I agree its well edited but theres no real insight.
JP, what happened to Your old cap?
What license do you need in Bahamas? FAA? EASA?
Anybody know which adapter did he used for the go pro on the wing?
My friends and I are flying to Key West on Sunday! Any tips?
Cool video! But it’s super weird seeing Steveo in the right seat
JP you should make you own hat line I would buy some!
Way to go man. If you’re ever up in the Seattle area I will take you in the air.
Another Rad video JP!!!!
Hey man came across your channel from the La Vagabond. Love your edit on this vid.
I’m just getting started on my channel but I own a vintage lifestyle clothing brand called Scotch & Iron. I’d love to send you some stuff.
Very nice looking 182 - love glass!
I have subscribed to StevO and La Vagabonde for years now. My two wolds collided when they both meat up. I seen La vagabondes video and StevO s video of the meat up but yours was the most artistic. You have a new Subscriber thank you for your work.
And that landing was like butter!
i hate my life even more when i watch these videos
Third watch on the same adventure! Still epic indeed. Thanks for the awesome view on this episode JP! Cheers, Dan
I got three awesome things watching this - a beautifully and emotional pro edit, an awesome flight, and a good ol’ Candourist vlog. 🤙🏼
That was pure youtube epicness
Where is jp been a month sis his last video
That's not the real Riley... He's not hurt or bleeding... :) and when Riley jumped off the rocks into the water I had to turn away tho. but he made it.. huh go Riley... cheers bro. P,S,- I'm crushing for Elayna really bad brother. Ur one lucky man... and congrats on the baby u2.
Brand new subscriber, happy to have found you. Pretty cool getting a third perspective on this trip. Already a Steveo and LaVaga subscriber and looking forward to checking out your collection of vids. Thanks for taking us along!
What’s the name of the song in the end
Hey JP. I´ve got one question. How do you handle recording so much footage on your hero 6 with this bad battery.... ? I mean do you switch the wing camera via remote or smartphone On and OFF in order to save battery? Thats the only thing my Hero 6 tortures myself, kind of. Thats really interesting. :)
Great Video JP, Sailing and Flying.... only the best of things in life. I love sailing and 2 years ago I hired a 45' monohull, took the girlfriend and all our kids (4 in total) and spent a week cruising around the Whitsunday islands (Australia's Bahamas).
Wow, wasn't this awesome! Thanks! Also, getting your point of view on other known & loved youtubers is always fun. Maybe get the SV Delos guys up in the sky one day? :D
First time watching one of your vids. Found you through Riley and Elay’s channel. Great edit, vibe! Question for you - you said you didnt sleep much on the boat? Were you seasick or was it something else? Just curious how the cat compares to their old monohull for you in terms of comfort?
I went back over the older La Vagabonde vids and Riley now look as young as El! I know she is younger than him, yet if you go back and look at the first Vlogs it is so very evident El has been good for Riles, very good.
Today, I got to see three adventurers, you, SteveO and SLV. Here from SLV. Subscribed. Thanks for the adventure. Looking forward to more and catching up on your channel and SteveO's.
Wow - such beautiful filming and film-making! So impressed! I met Riley and Elayna in Miami last June - but you are a lucky dude to have such friends and experiences - and personally I think flying is seriously amazing! You are fantastic. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Binged through your biking across America videos, then came across this one. It made my day watching you hang out with the Vagabonde crew.
Wow SteveO in the right seat, first time I have seen that. Great to see two of my favorite aviators in the same plane! Extremely jealous of the location sitting here in drizzly England.
loving the visuals! thats proper cinematography. keep the content comming.
So I subscribe to both of you and I have to say with out a doubt your video and editing skills are amazing! keep up the great work!!! May I ask what you use for editing software?
Yo living the dream man my dream is to travel the world scuba diving flying my own plane and drive a classic sailing vessel slightly modified to acomidate a classic car
Just finished Elayna and Riley's episode and turned me on to your channel! (Funny how that works.) Great editing with those slo-mo sequences and cuts to enough variety that really brought out the highlights. Subbed. I've been watching La Vaga for years, this is a nice transition. Oh, btw, what you said about your channel on the La Vaga ep... not so, pal. Thumbs way up.
That NXi is sweet...but gosh they are expensive.....What are the hourly wet rate for that 182?
Question......my first exposure to your channel. Nicely done! I kind of understanding the reasoning for tapping the brakes on a retractable gear craft after take-off, but why is it done on a fixed gear? Just to form a habit of sorts?
Really enjoyed your Vlog mate. 1st time watching you. Never miss a La Vaga ep. Good fun to see you all connect.
This is an amazing new world where young people can actually make a living, traveling, filming each other and people pay! Its amazing.
SLV fan here - cool to see this event from the "pilot side." Nice meeting you; I look forward to checking out your channel.
Such a good video JP. A level up on Your camera work and editing and as usual your color grade and music choices are fantastic. You really have the nicest looking of all the aviation VLOG channels!
My very first flight was in a little Cessna. I've loved flying ever since! Flying over the Bahamas must be amazing.
Dude, how can one be so creative like you? Thank you for such videos, they are such an enrichment for RUclips. Thank you! 🙏🏻
Subscribe to all of you. Keep it up, very entertaining and informative. Watched this one three ways and got a different perspective each time. Love it.
The 182 is probably the ultimate fixed gear single engine piston airplane out there. That's a stunning machine
one handsome pilot ;)
Ive always followed all of you.. So nice to see you being friends and spending time together..
What a chance :)
Been a long time since I flew a 185. Fond memories of many trips from Fullerton Ca to Mammoth Mountain.
Came to your channel from theirs. Great filming!! Plane is beautiful!!
Which support do you use to fix the gopro in the airplane's wing? Adhesive?
Too cool, I was there too, in that cenote! super warm water and incredible depth but close to no visibility, very oily water!
Great footage and grading !
Who did the intro music? Sauce.
Fortune Cookie - Josh Casman
I love how I can watch all 3 of your videos and its all different content without everyone stepping over each other and feeling like youre recording each other and spitting out the same content. Thanks for the awesome content
what job do you have?
I've been all day waiting for this video after watching SteveO's
So kewl to see Riley n Elayna and La Vagabond. Great video.
