  • The Cliffs of Moher stand 214m (702 feet) at their highest point and they stretch for 8 kilometres (5 miles) along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland.
From the Cliffs of Moher on a clear day one can see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, as well as the Twelve Pins and the Maum Turk mountains in Connemara, Loop Head to the south and the Dingle Peninsula and Blasket Islands in Kerry. O’Brien’s Tower stands near the highest point and has served as a viewing point for visitors for hundreds of years.
The Cliffs of Moher take their name from a ruined promotery fort "Mothar" which was demolished during the Napoleonic wars to make room for a signal tower at Hag's Head.

The sound of Davy's Uillean pipes evokes Ireland more than anything. If you haven't been to the Cliffs of Moher mark it on your bucket list. It's breathtaking.

This song is very powerful. My emotions bring me to tears thinking of all the people lost through the troubles. Irish and proud.

To me, this piece invokes the feeling of wondering alone in the mountainside, until you come across this small and quaint village, and then get welcomed with open arms.

The sea thrashes the cliff edge..
Sea....l stand here and hold you back, to protect your wayward heart . l am the guardian of the Cliffs of Moher.
l shall remain and guard my Irish soil, so that it remains free.

How this tune gets right into your inner soul is uncanny. I need to stop peeling onions.

The Cliffs of Moher are beautiful but dangerous, many lives have been lost there.
