hello I'm new to channel I like say bravo to apprentice and teacher I finished my first home extension and learned brick laying, loved it I did and other stuff like fitting rafters roofing, installing roof window, putting in steel beam etc. It's a real confidence booster the building trade has given my life and I'm a complete novice.
Good on ya young fella. can see your willing and having ago. sounds like you've got a good teacher there. listen to him and milk his knowledge. speed comes after son
It’s always strange watching someone start on the trowel , you tend to think you were never like that, but we are , the only way to learn is get the trowel in your hand , cheers for watching 👍👍
lol Bless him. Great encouragement though! The best way to teach them is to be like this, the worst way is this stereo typical taking the piss and all that stuff.
The bricks at the footings, should be well built. A strong base to build upon. Some foundations have engineer bricks layed first in the footings for this reason, purpose.
he's an IT tech, why would he want to hold a trowel? He is having the work done so the fact he can afford to have it done means he earns more than man taking time out to teach him.
Animals have more rights than building workers, if you treated an animal like building workers get treated you would get locked up, many thanks for watching 👍👍
Alright mate I don't know what u want to get out of being a bricklayer but if it's going to earn nice bit of wedge ignore everything he has told you if u want to plod along and be the slowest bricklayer on the planet then follow ur boss. you can be quick and still be neat follow changy or Charlie collison on RUclips u will learn more watching one of there videos than u will working for budd for years
If you are a bricklayer, you can’t remember what it’s like to pick a trowel up for the first time, someone has to give you a start, then you take your own path, cheers for watching 👍
Chris the likes of Change, Collison and Compton are advanced professional bricklayers, they do it every day. You can't expect a beginner to look at those videos and not feel disappointed in their own attempts. To gain muscle memory(which it is) it takes at least 10000 repetitions, and that's once you have the hang of it. I say this as a veteran bricklayer that sees fault in every one of those mentioned.
what a doughnut. are you one of the site bully boys that are pushing the young lads out of the trades. complete shite your talking other comments are correct about charlie izzy etc. seasoned trades. the young lad has to start somewhere and get confidence
