    I love how peaceful and lesser-known the orange line is. Kinda reminds me of the chicago orange line.

      its pretty chill on the east side, the west side is in Arlington and Fairfax which gets busy.

    Cool video. Just one note on the high usage of the Orange Line you bring up around 3:40. The western bit of the Orange Line is especially busy compared to the eastern branch (where Cheverly is). The western branch has dense development and dense stop spacing in Arlington.

      Defiantly, what I meant in the video is that the orange line as a whole gets around 100,000 BPWD this year. Def more than on the western side.

    Time to maybe expect Loudon Gateway in future since there's nothing to see, or do, from what I've seen 😅🤷🏿‍♂️

    Amazing, so many trains there go long distances. That's a good place to live then, to get around.

    Like the stats. I have been by this metro station in the 80's but never been in it. This use to be my favorite line in the day. Cheers!

    Your closing line is a refreshing choice!

    MARC trains go to Boston?

    • @sammymarrco47
      @sammymarrco47  10 месяцев назад +5

      no, I meant that the northeast corridor has trains that go all the way to Boston, on those tracks.

      No, but Amtrak also uses the Northeast Corridor line and their terminus on that line is Boston (if you need to travel further into New England from there, the Downeaster line will take you to Maine!).

    Another con about this station is the high crime rate because the whole county, Prince George's, is infamously known for it's high crime statistics. Although some areas of the county are already being redeveloped.

      yeah, its not ideal

      I grew up in Prince George’s County, and even then it was starting to get rough. When I moved out for good in 1995, I actually described PG County as “home of the misdemeanor homicide” (story behind that). My older daughter is now a student at UMCP, and I can only hope the area has improved since I left!

      not only the maryland area but also the stations once you cross the DC/MD border are also very dangerous. In 2021 I was actually robbed by a group of young teenagers from the stadium armory - minnesota avenue stations. Crime is mostly an abundance from all the stations after stadium armory towards new carrolton (from personal experience)

      Cheverly is really nice, maybe even the best town to live in in PG. Its kind of interesting how its surrounded by some of the worst parts of MD (Bladensburg, Fairmount Heights) and DC (Deanwood)

    Does the F12 Metrobus that goes from Cheverly to New Carrollton Metro Station operate in the Landover Division?
