    Speaking of wet wipes, my mom always brought 3 washcloths put of our hotel. She wet them, put them in plastic bags, and froze them overnight. Then she put them into a thermal bag, so if we needed a cooling down, it was amazing. Though I know some hotels don't have freezers, at least they could be refrigerated. PS, we always brought the washcloths back!

    Here’s one: if you’re not staying at Disney World but want to make a big day at the Magic Kingdom, you should show up at the parking lot an hour before the park opens but ALSO suck it up and spend the $55 (or whatever it is that day) for preferred parking. It’s a ton to spend…. but at that time you will almost certainly find yourself in the single closest row to the TTC. It’s nice going in but it’s absolutely awesome when you are LEAVING, particularly if you stayed for the fireworks. Being able to just walk across the road and get into your car over waiting to pile into the tram for the farther lots and then searching through a sea of parking is worth its weight in gold. (I promise!)

    • @Ashxx94
      @Ashxx94 4 месяца назад

      I absolutely agree with that. Preferred parking is worth it at the end of a looong day. Felt so good just crossing under the little bridge and my car being right there.

    When it relates to Genie+, and “wait times” at your favorite ride, more often than not, the wait times are over inflated. I think it’s purposeful, to entice people to buy into the Genie+ service. I have experienced the wait times to be about half the actual times. So keep that in mind. Don’t buy the Genie+, unnecessarily.

    • @mgseggerman
      @mgseggerman 4 месяца назад +3

      There is a web application, with a modest annual fee, which also provides wait times -- even calculated. Their service also provides the same sort of information that the free portion of Genie+ does - but of course without doing it to suit Disney. I found getting an account invaluable. Hint - they help you with touring plans - and are behind the unofficial guide books.

      Even if the wait times are inflated, take a look today, I don’t think I could stand in a 140 min line, inflated or not. I don’t get to go often. So for me G+ totally worth it. It’s not about making them richer it’s about not traveling over a thousand miles to stand in a queue.

      Went in Oct last year. Only bought Genie+ 2 out of 6 days. 1 DHS day and 1 MK day. We planned 2 days in each and 1 day in all the other parks. Went on a Afterparty day to MK. Never waited more than 30 min for an attraction. Left right when the Afterparty was about to start for a dining reservation at Poly. Day 2 we used it to ride the rides we didn’t get to last time. DHS day we did all the shows and low wait time attractions. Day 2 we used G+ to get the big ticket rides. Was perfect. Never needed it at Epcot or AK. Just plan accordingly

    I've posted this several times before - one pair of clean,(preferably new) cotton socks for each day in Disney World. No need to purchase baggies - used bread bags, with crumbs shaken out, does the trick quite nicely. A compact folding umbrella - mine shows the map of the New York Subway system. A rain poncho as well. A napkin with water would clean off a really dirty table.

The quick-service dining plan would cost $230 a day for my family of 4. Cooked Pop Century for less than the cost of the dining plan. Yes, it's August, but you can't have everything. 2 adult quick-service meals easily feed the 4 of us. Plus, no gratuity. We'll hit all the yummiest quick serve like Satuli Canteen, Earl of Sandwich, Sunshine seasons, D-Luxe Burger etc. We'll probably pay out of pocket for one family breakfast at Garden Grill and one TBD date night for my husband and me. @mela1580 Yes, we have a few times but not for around 5 years. Our daughter went last year, though. So mixed opinions here...northern france weather is v seasonal which could limit the visiting period. The parks get v busy therefore in the spring/summer.
      There is probably 2/3 days max of things to do, but people can, of course, combine with the wonderful sights around Paris, which is an amazing City and can add at least another 4/5 days sightseeing minimum.
      Of course, there are also a lot of things played in French. It's a bit like the Tokyo in Japanese vlogs show.

    my personal problem is the vacant or occupied sign on the door to the private bathrooms are too small, they need to make them a little larger especially so someone can see them in order to stop trying to unlock the door while someone is in it; just saying!
