Well all I feel I can say - myself - is that after the whole plethora of physical problems he had in the past 5 years or so the man is truly worthy of being praised for what he is doing at this stage of his career - almost 36... I mean his playing style has never really turned me on to be honest - but then again, to see him competing like that at this level, going thru to 2 round after such a battle - Mine, U got all of my admiration Andy, well done ✔
The will to win is something- the will to train is everything...
Andy's determination off the match court is what makes him special...
Has put in a colossal effort to get back to top level tennis- at a time when most would be backing off...

Murray is back!! He is looking fresh and fit! You would think that Murray would taper off as the match went on, but nope, he went up a gear in the 5th and tiebreak. That was thrilling. I hope he can recover well and keep going 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Good win but Im afraid he isnt back at all and will probably lose in the next round. His ranking of 66 tells you where he is. Murray can still get the odd good win but I cant remember the last time he won a tournament.

He's struggled to beat two non-contenders, so I don't think these wins are a sign he's playing well enough to win the tournament. Great to see him putting in effort now though, running and hitting winners - that's what he hasn't been doing in recent years.
Agreed I think he'll struggle to string together seven matches like that in a row but Berrettini has made the Wimbledon final and the quarters in all of the majors. Not sure he can be described as a non-contender !

This was just a tremendous game to watch. My only complaint is to Tennis Australia for putting this on so late and then the players going for over 5.45hours and finishing about 4am in the morning was just ridiculous ....the crowd were wonderful to stay (but who could leave lol) Andy did complain the next day ....as his recovery time was less than he needed.
From now on we'll call you Sir Andy... well done Andy. 🤭🤷♀️😅

5 years is a long time from being no.1 player & immediately after zero player. Andy's style of pounding after wide returns then coming to a stop & pounding the other way caused his hip problems. FedNadOvic they use the slide which is much kinder. Imagine if his other hip goes, NOOOoooo..

Yup, he's a 2 rounder at best but he gives you great 5 seters now. He was limping coming off, a worry as you are bound to stiffen up. I have chronic spinal pain for 35yrs, wish I could find a surgeon. I don't have his mental strength but it broke him after 3yrs & at times I don't want to go on.
