  • This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. While we have more data on our bodies than cars do about themselves, our cars know more about their health than we humans do about our health. It is an improper fraction. What if we can use the data we have about our bodies to better understand our health, and prevent sickness BEFORE it happens?
As described this is not one health app, or a hundred wearable devices. This is not a product or products, it is an industry; a sickness prevention industry, instead of a health care industry, and it is called The HUMAN API.
Michael is a father and husband, a cook, a hockey player, a trained healthcare professional, an entrepreneur, and a brilliant musician.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
