"Lots of people doing this" Yes including Fender!! If you like the shape and feel of a Tele but prefer the sound of humbuckers then why? why not? !! Actually I'd like a Tele with single coils as well - somebody gave me this one with humbuckers already on it !

Zoltan Horvath a1996 tele is not a classic masterpiece ! If he wants to create a particular sound out of this guitar which is pleasing to him then that’s up to him,the guys sculpting an audio response for himself and good on him.Sounds far better than just another twangy country and western piece of crap punted out by Fender.

Really excellent tone and playing. Nice! Every time I hear a Super Distortion in the bridge of a Fender style guitar it just sounds *right* to me.

couldn't agree with you more Kenny H I have a strat I put 2 real beefy Buckers in And it is one of my favorite guitars.
