Will Sultan Suleiman find out about the affair?
The Sultana finds out about the affair between İbrahim and Nigar and has to make a critical decision. What will the Sultana do after what she's learned? Mahidevran and Prince Mustafa want to take revenge on Hürrem. Will Sultana Hürrem be able to save her princes? The Magnificent Century is on Star on Wednesday.
The Sultana learns about the affair between İbrahim and Nigar. She decides to share it with Sultan Suleiman right away. The Sultana can't hide her rage for Nigar.
Hürrem gets on the way to be able to save her princes lives. She gets terrified after what she sees and starts to have fight with Prince Mustafa. However, there is an unexpected guest in the Hunting Lodge.
Sultan Suleiman returns to the palace with the Sultana's call. The Sultana goes to her son but she can't have a heart to tell what happened. The Sultana ends up in a battle for her life.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

The actors in this show are MINDBLOWING! I didnt know that Turkey has a lot of incredible actors. Suleyman, Hurrem, Ibrahim, Hatice, even Gul agha are phenomenal!

Everyone deserves compassion: she has no idea how to handle this, but lies in hopes of saving not just herself, but her most precious unborn child. Remember: it was Ibraham who encouraged the idea of a child born not of a dynasty member. He allowed her to believe that he could take care of both families. With his demonstrable cunning & power, it could have conceivably (pun intended) happened.
She was blinded of her love to Ibrahim and Ibrahim took advantage of her use her actually she have a choice if she refused that night but she didn't

@Alana Ronald She's not a child anymore. Plus Nigar Kalfa sided with the wrong person. Hurrem. For her own interests, she became the Sultanas dog, and that's only her total fault. What's more, she became very arrogant and betrayed the Dynasty. She had a choice. She just made the wrong choice. Though

Daye hatun deserved more after everything she did, it made me feel so sad for her :( I also love how much they love there mother and siblings etc even ibrihim loves suliman, also so glad valide realised who truely loves her son and saw that in hurrem and helped protect her children :)
I feel most of the females are demonic, all back stabbers. Ibrahim is delusional, sitting on his gold throne and a gold ( tiger/Lion ) each side of his gold throne.Having one of his soldiers lift his hand for the visitors to kiss his ring. Valise I think is also nasty, she had Daye hatun working for her ( Valise) for years and to be punished as she was when the concubine attacked her she was defending herself, a n accident happened, how did they not find the knife.??? Ibrahim another selfish male using that poor girl, mind if I was married to his wife I would have a breakdown, she does nothing but cry she is so very insecure. Looking at each episode I’m fed up with the plotting backstabbing lies I leave this drama for a few days and then go back to watching it again. I have to say they are brilliant actors.

Hürrem wasn't wrong about what she said. Selim paid all of Mahidevran's death when he became the Sultan. He had mercy on her and didn't want to be cruel.
Both Hatice and Gülfem look amazingly beautiful during that scene in Valide's chambers, by the way.
Daye Hatun is a badass, spit on Gulsah cause she won’t bow to her and blew the guards off with a single bold look. She doesn’t have to hide behind anyones power like Gulsah does.
Daye Hatun is one of the most sympathetic and admirable characters in this whole drama. A real rôle model of an upright woman.

Both Date and Afife were against Hurrem in the beginning... but Hurrem managed to turn them into her allies 😅
Hurrem never taught her children to hate anyone.Not even Mahidevran but Mahidevran is always pushing Mustafa to hate his siblings and Hurrem at every opportutnity she gets.What a horrible and useless woman !

Mahidevran always heated up Hurrem, so Hurrem lost her temper so those incidents happened, nd Mustafa took everything personally whatever his mother suffered so he insulted Hurrem who is the only solemnised wife of sultan in front of everyone that was too much worse!!!!!!

She should be thankful that Selim took care of her in real life after Suleyman had passed away. Mahidrivren was very lucky. I read about it...

Gulsah and Nigar lie so easely. All the others when they lie their eyes betray them but Nigar and Gulsah… when they lie they do itwith passion.

The story about the poison kaftan only makes sense if it was sent by one of Sulyman's warring uncles who forged Selim's name on the note. Why would Selim kill his heir? Did he have another son from a concubine that he wanted to succeed him?
For the last 7 years I’ve been wondering the same thing. Each time a I watch this series I think of that. There are a few things in this series that don’t make sense so I just try and take those things with a grain of salt.
In the first episode when the pasa are waiting outside for sulieman to arrive cafer aga says that sulieman had a brother hoyvetir something like that who was exiled to acfar away state but there father selim

I have been a long time fan; watching magnificent century because it is rich in the wealth of the mystery& history of the Ottoman's sixteen century AD. ( though poetic licence obviously exists, the characters embody the mind set of the people at that time) I love the costumes. I love the characters, all played well by very good actors; I do love how they ( the actors in the show) portray the characters involved to reveal the tragic results that plagues a world without true wisdom, embellished by the intrigue that follows the 'world' of a corrupted ruling class.
It is not rich in the wealth, mystery or history. It's a drama very loosely based on a few facts. Much of what you are seeing never happened.

I don't understand Mustafa's accusations that Hurrem has something to do with his child's death. Like are we going to ignore the fact that Valide ordered the abortion? But of course he has to find a scapegoat (well Hürrem also tried to poison him so that is unforgettable). I noticed the characters tend to point the fingers to each other and no one ever accepts the responsibility in this show! Valide ordered the abortion, Daye brought the midwife, something went wrong and in the end everyone is guilty but Valide.
