This episode STRESSED me out. I cannot tolerate Mahidevran’s petty politics as harem leader. Suleyman is not blind when it comes to Hurrem, he’s blind when it comes to Mahidevran. He just cannot understand she is a petty, evil, whiny, incompetent, self pitying, talentless, faithless and useless woman. He keeps overlooking her mistakes and giving her chances.
If she’d married someone decent earlier/stayed with them she could have played it off as the baby coming a little early or something. I don’t think Hatice would have set her up with someone bad in the earlier stages. She could have been married to someone decent. Started fresh. Instead she’s willing to throw everything away for Ibrahim of all people.
I have noticed that seuliman rarely yell at anyone even if he is so mad and it is so charismatic where as Ibrahim yelling at İskender Çelebi was so annoying to see he has no self control and so self-centred
It's the difference between being born and raised with power, and being given power you don't deserve while still being a slave. Ibrahim has no real control over his life so he tries to rule the lives of others, hence his games with nigar
the way relations change in the harem will always amaze me. hatice rn is in support of hurrem and against mahidevran. in S3 post ibrahim's execution she teams up with mahidevran and her and hurrem become arch enemies. gulshah who in S1 & S2 wanted to kill hurrem will now serve her in the end of S2 and in S3
So when it comes to appointing the head of the harem, it falls to Mahidevran because that's "tradition" and must be followed. But then when it comes time to follow "tradition" and send her with Mustafa, an exception is made. He always favors her over Hurrem!
No he didn't favor her his aware of her devious ways for power she's going to make a brainless mistake as she's reckless and yes she and her cronies fatma two brainless wonders are going bye bye for stealing

She lost her father, then her first husband died, she fell in love with a man she didn't think she'd ever be allowed to be with, and then when it was allowed she accidentally killed her own baby and he cheated on her and had a whole extra child she didn't know about for a long time. She doesn't know who she can trust because Valide, mahodevran, and Hurren are always putting her against their own opposition. Now her mother that she is very close to almost died and is now paralyzed. She has a lot to cry about. Y'all have no compassion
