They really have something special, this Wilco signature we can hear with those contemplative lyrics and music writing, productions, and even artworks. Not boring at all. The last album was boring. I dont even remember one song on it. Star Wars blew my mind. This is classic Wilco. Perhaps on the slow side but the effects, guitar solos and heavy drums and great lyrics make up for the slow beat..
@@diggerthegroundhog8799 for me it's all about melody, don't really care about sounds... for instance take the song spiders, when Jeff plays it with an acoustic it just sounds amazing because the song is actually really good. Here you have boring songs with great sounds, it's like having to paint a really bad drawning. But this is just my opinion
@@alessandrodemarchi3001 I understand where you are coming from. it's about vocal melody for me as well. Wilco's tunes sometimes tend to sound similar and sometimes just dull. They did make some really good ones though like hummingbird, impossible germany, pot kettle black, jesus etc, via chicago, how to fight loneliness, misunderstood, atleast that's what you said, poor places, radiocure, I'm always in love etc. But more than 60% of their discography sounds quite similar to me and uninteresting.

Is he channeling Lucinda Williams on a couple of these songs. Some are a little too, too but the lyrics are phenomenal

Best one IMO. The album though... boring. We already had warm and warmer, why do we need this one?
Cause Warm and Warmer had next to no keyboards and piano on them where this album features great keys
