  • This week I tackled the rear crossmember mount using Barnes 4wd DIY crossmember kit. I ended up making my own brackets and using Barnes gusset scraps to stiffen everything up. Check it out!

    Thanks for the videos! Very obvious engine swap ( in my imagination at least) that seems to not be common at all in practice.

    I wonder if you welded the top bracket on the drivers side that it wouldn’t make it more solid!? You could still swing it out…. Idk just thinking out-loud…awesome project!

      I’ll see if I can get the weld in there, definitely wouldn’t hurt!

    Only thing I would add is drilling holes or making a slot in LROR plate to burn in backside of round stock you used for mounts.

      That’s a good idea, little bit of extra attachment! I could add some small gussets to the sides also?
