I really think the Von Braun wheel would make a great interstellar space craft. It certainly looks like one and was referred to as “a ship” in this vid.
Really, Von Braun wanted to build a City in space. But what was built? A giant trailer home.
Issue is transporting materials up to build. Also sure we can use inflatable materials but then it would get wrecked by micro meteors
"budget space station"...why do i get feeling this isnt going to end well? i do have to admit that i was (pleasantly ) surprised when Noordung wheel came up; not many know about Herman potočnik Noodrung, and his book that was published in 1928. if anyone is traveling through Slovenia and is interested in space technology development, there is museum in Vitanje that is worth visiting
"why do i get feeling this isnt going to end well?"
Maybe you don't understand the histories of new industries and technologies and how they develop and commercialise.
You would have to be so naive as to be a child or to be a ward of the state, to think that the only way to make spaceflight cheaper, would be to cut corners in terms of safety.
"A budget car? Ha, absolutely everyone is going to crash and burn in these Fords! Cars will always be for the rich!
"A home computer? Ha, that thing is going to catch fire at least once a week!"
"Affordable air travel for working and Middle class people? Ha, those poor people will be dropping out of the sky in their thousands!"
The cost per hour per experiment done on the ISS is probably at least 10 times cheaper than what it was for Skylab, so I'm assuming you think that the ISS is significantly less safe than Skylab too for some reason?
I really like the space Resort is Nice
Excellent! 😃
Thanks for this
I think this is a great vid. Its crazy how almost no one commented or liked this vid.
Lol same
I was about to follow the same trend until I see your comment.
Because they are BOTS. Can’t see beyond this realm of reality.
This is super video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yeah, sadly you gotta tag it with keywords Elon Musk or SpaceX in order to attract those views.
*Watching Top Fives* - Number 15... :D nice nontheless
Thanks for telling us about designs
Love this
I believe that it was in the late 1970s that I read of an O'Neal Cylinder at the L4 or L5 LaGrange point, that would be used to manufacture orbiting power satellites, using materials mined on the moon, and launched to the LaGrange point, using a linear accelerator to be constructed on the moon. That's another one you missed.
Nice one 👍👍👍
Thank you video brilliant compliment.
Thanks you ITNA jankaari dene me liye
Thanks 🙏👍 super 👌💐
Number 2 . . . the best.
W8 for Starship and after this make a concept :)
Love it
We need this
The Brick Moon shows up in Stephen Baxter's "The Long Mars"
i like this video please make more
A few of these designs look very promising
they are all misplaced stock footage put over a person who is paid to read wikipedia articles. don't listen to this guy.
Where are the laser guns to defend against alien attack? Or drone fighters?
Weapons in outer space can for the moment only be found in sci-fy.
I love it
Entire Aerospace division as a collective is a tight knit one. You're talking about Norad, Lockheed Martin, Services Intel, and 3 other branches of that 🌳 tree.
Well done. Sulaaco is probably my favorite space craft concept concert in theatre. WW2 Submarine carry over. Ocean to space.
Kool things keeps space 🌌🚀 stuff alive! Cold is Kool! Lol
Cool
You have a real problem with messing up images, with the speaker referring to something or someone else then is shown.
I want to see the future
Just like we laugh at 1900 predictions 😂
PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THE REPLIES ABOVE ME, ALL SCAM!
Regarding the Aurora station’s vacation price: It’s set at $9.5m right now, but as space travel improves and the cost goes down, it might come into the reach of less rich people. It absolutely will _eventually_ be easily affordable by all but the poorest people, but honestly I don’t expect to see that in my lifetime (I’m almost 33, for reference).
*Edit:* I think you _might_ have doubled the Von Braun concept station. You have one by that name at #4 _and_ one by the name of “the Von Braun wheel” at #12.
*Edit 2:* You kept putting renders of the Hubble into your bit about the Lunar Gateway 🤦
You definitely will see it in your lifetime I am almost 56 and I expect to see it in my lifetime.
Ini baru ilmu senam coiii.......
A star wars themed space station
Would be the best (my opinion)
I’d like it to be functional
The L.O.S.T or lunar orbit sation team sound cool.
Hell yeah
I thought this was great.. I choose either Von Braun. Or Axiom. Third choice would be Bigelo... The ISS, looks like a child's creation.
Bigalow already has one of its modules attached to the ISS.
In my mind,a lot project for next years about everything!!!!!!!!!?????????
You should build a space station like in Star trek, now that is a station
Thumbnail: Yang Kai's starship
MY chunni heart: Click that shit right now
at 12:35, you talk about China, but then show Taipei, Taiwan. A completely separate country.
Thaiwan is China
@@scythra5410 no,they are veey different
Can you imagine cleaning the bathroom of a space hotel?
I’m pretty sure the Von Braun wheel is more commonly referred to as the “doughnut” station.
This is now required with every donut reference. "Emmmmm Donuts." - Homer J. Simpson
@@alexhein1738 And the cost? None of us can count that high.
@@alonenjersey my bad. Von braun is a fake. the company is a scam
Man the giant avatar space station…..
That stamp you showed as being Von Braun is a Russian stamp, and it looks like its Konstantin Tsiolkovsky. If you google "famous rocket scientist" The first one on the list is Von Braun.
14:57 lmaooo bruh that's how every space station including the ISS was created. Like what were you expecting 🤦♂️
I SAID THAT OUTLOUD WHILE WATCHING LMFAO
Good
I like axiom too.
NASA is going with Axiom and Bigalow.
I like the von brahm station.
The axiom private space station idea seems cool. I liked the large venture capitalist one which was supposed to be bigger and failed. 🤔
I think number 4.
Astronauts do reaserch works in space stations. There are various space stations that orbit our earth - ISS, MIR space station, SKY lAB space station... Currently ISS is the main space station that is on work. Amazing documentary. I like to watch more vedios like this.❤❤❤❤❤😮😮😅😊😊
Why Sirkoskys picture when saying bout Von braun?😀
How to show you the perfect designs for space missions?
Ohhhhhhhh So this is what the simple history guy is doing
OML YOU SOUND LIKE THE SIMPLE HISTORY GUY
While I would not call this video "click bait", it is somewhat disappointing. The early Von Braun station is a concept from the 1950's. The "new" Von Braun at 10:45 has been
changed to Voyager Station, due to criticism of Von Braun's Nazi ties during WW2.
As well, the pic at 10:45 is NOT the Gateway Foundation's Voyager Station; but the bigger Space Gateway. The only Voyager pic is at 12:20'
The video often shows animations that have no bearing on the specific station being discussed at the moment.
Finally, the $9.5 Million price for 12 days at Aurora Station is for the stay itself, and does not include the current $55 Million price per seat on a SpaceX Dragon, or even
a higher price for other providers. Hopefully over the next 10 years, prices drop considerably.
I wonder what 'James Bond astronaut training' entails? Would it be much different to 'Barista astronaut training' or 'Car mechanic astronaut training'? Also why not just do 'astronaut astronaut training'? It would seem to be more relevant.
My fav is the ark
Wow
wood as rebar isz just as string as cement but provides a bamboo cement aesthetic
You need to investigate more because at 12:35 you show us Taipei, Taiwan🇹🇼 . Thats very different country from their neighbor China 🇨🇳
radio signal trinagulation .. you found the magnetic linesz for that radio field .. you can use radio as remote magnet and charger
An actual photo of Werner Von Braun please.
wait it said future?
Simple history is that you
#03:25 looks familiar ;)
Who else is here from the link in the picture
The star ship Avalon .
Still no mention of the Stanford Torus or O'Neill "Island One" Bernal Sphere. They deserve a good look in their own episode.
An image of the Stanford Torus used gratuitously in the first segment about the Von Brain wheel, which only briefly showed the actual Von Braun wheel.
hot balloonsz will keep displacing and go to space if tethered straight and in a heat field and the daisy chaining helpsz
Talks about space program of mainland China
Shows picture from capitol of Taiwan
a terrestrial flat spin tube has a space station like floor
very large rotating space station/city with artificial "gravity".. design the upper stage (of a starship?) to be a tall truncated hexagonal pyramid (no protrusions). these can be fit together into a rotating drum/cylinder with no gaps just like lego building blocks but hexagonal, with the outer and inner surfaces looking like soccer balls/hex grid... more ships can be added, tethered together in pairs to the center of their inner smaller hexagons/"nosecone", (or in even numbers, or complete rings), and then be spun up to match rotational speeds with the existing tethered rotating pair (or even number of ships, ring, or tethered rotating drum) then pulled/bolted together sideways with cabling or thrusters. (difficult to explain without visual modelling). once they are a complete ring they can be bolted together and the tethers removed or leave them for extra strength. as the ring builds sideways into a long cylinder it will gain enormous strength. the propellant tanks become useable space with fuel removed and pressurized. the engines can be reused if brought back to earth. the hexagonal engine sections/thrust pucks can be used to build the endcaps. if you wall/dome off the endcaps you could also pressurize the rotating drums interior. have your exterior docking facility on both ends in the center of the endcaps like in 2001 a space odyssey.
All innocent are invest money for
Space station or space exploration
That much money can make our
Earth ever green and pure image.
My man wanted a break from Simple History
I like the Von Braun Wheel. It is the best looking...
I REALLYY LOVE VON BRAUN
Imagine watching sports in space at a space staduim
Can I go?
You are the simple history guy
Ok
Iss can be used as space station in mars atmosphere rather than destroying it
When speaking about the Von Braun station, why didn't you use their own concept videos? They have plenty of it and they would appreciate the plug.
I swear I built OPSEK in simplerockets 2
in water a giant 10km long log 1km wide spun, you could live in on any floor if spun fast enough
I much prefer an O’Neal cylinder I think an O’Neal cylinder would be perfect for a space station an O’Neal cylinder would be capable of housing and supporting 500 thousand people and an O’Neal cylinder would have artificial gravity created by rotation which means no one floating around your feet will be planted firmly on the ground.
How come they didn't mention the gateway station? That company made it on the news before I remember and showed a full plan for artificial-gravity, I jut think its amazing what they planned out. Von braun station is a 1990s concept I think.
Sounds like charlie sheen lol
Whatever happened to the Starseed idea?
Why are you showing the Hubble Space Telescope when you are talking about the Lunar Gateway and explaining its characteristics? :D
Yeah, noticed that. There were several non-connected video clips being shown. Also, got tired of seeing the same girl counting money every time a price was mentioned. They seem to have stock video for certain concepts to make it easy for them to have something showing at all times, and keep the scene change flow going. It gets kinda annoying after you see a few of their videos and see the same scenes over and over.
raise a ballon then attach the dangling rope to the top of the next balloon you raise and so on ... space chain space elevator
I love these circular space stations that make gravity which we have no ideal how to make like the Earths gravity I guess I we never think about the gravities from all the other stop that pulling on it that weighs trillions of tons.
the Von Braun's Gateway Space Station will cost no less than €120 Bn (approx) . . . and that's just what investors needs to have to shell out, to build the enormous space station & that too in space, zero gravity . . . in the world of sci-fi there are some fictional spacecrafts that can actually be a realistic spacecraft . . .
9:35 - WHY HAS THIS NOT HAPPENED??!!
Reused able rocket to launch submarine to space ...
Our future will be os easy for all of you.space station become like every second home of feture dream home....,....DREAM HOME OF LOVE AND EVERY THINK..........
Isn't this the guy from What If?
i see the pros, but then i think of Disney lmao 9.5m Star Wars trip
Is that... the simple history guy?
ISS is not just an USA and Russia made station but involved Europe and Japan.
if you run a tube from arctica to mexico the cold air rapidly expanding in mexico or bottled in mexico is hydrogenerable or ignitable
I'm starting to get annoyed with these constant interruptions for paid advertisements. Especially since they're all from the same sponsor.
