If Season 2 is going to be as crazy as y'all are saying, my low expectations should make for some great reaction moments! I do love being pleasantly surprised
trust me, we’ll get many cool action sequences. also rhaenyra sent luke as a MESSENGER. it’s well known in westeros that you can’t kill messengers. rhae thought that nothing would happen to him. and she had zero idea aemond would be there. she’s not stupid nor a bad mother. blame aemond, not rhaenyra.
Yeah last season was just the build up to the actual war. Like how season 1 of GoT was for the War of the 5 Kings. Can’t wait for the battle to come this season.
Ah yes Aemond, famous follower of rules and obeyer of laws 🤣 Even if she had no reason to suspect that Aemond would violate the laws, she sent her son instead of the countless vassals at her disposal. It was a bad choice no matter how you slice it

you are correct, no one wins the dance of the dragons, house targaryen just loses. this is the conflict that causes almost all the targaryen dragons to go extinct
You have to see as if the dragons are nukes. In normal times people don't go nuking eachother for nothing. Which is what we will see in S2 but for more or somewhat good reasons.
Luke's journey to Storms End was in theory the safest journey, Dragonstone and Stroms End are very close to each other Luke's trip was the shortest and to a House that he is "related" to he had the protection of being an envoy and his dragon. Rhaenyra couldn't have known Aemond was there even so the Lord of Storms End should have protected Luke better he was a guest in his house.

Nice! Episode 1 drops five days after episode 3 of The Acolyte. I remember being very concerned about content in 2024 due to last year's writers/actors strike but the stuff we've gotten in the first six months has been awesome. We all suspected it, but this trailer confirms the White Worm survived.
lol, you haven’t read the book huh? We are definitely going to get a fight….. lots of fights. In fact so many fights that I am really hoping they do a good job fleshing out everything beyond the fights. Also, Rhaenyra did not send her son to visit a psychopath. 🤦♀️ It was an extremely unfortunate coincidence that Aemond went to Storm’s End at the same time as Lucarys. Early game of thrones hardly had any big battles either. I don't understand the complaint really. ASOIAF isn't Star Wars, and political intrigue and drama have had more prominence than battle scenes for the entire run of the last series and this one. Same goes for the books.
Early seasons battles might have been considered small but they were epic anyway. I find the battle of the bastard and the spoils of war battle the best ever made.
@@piotrnowak8725 sure but those battles, just like the ones in this trailer, were built up to over a season and typically had one episode covering them. So if it wasn’t a problem back then, doesn’t make sense that it’d be a problem now. It’s the same structure
@@k--music It's not a problem exactly. It's more like hype and/or an expectation of the TV series to deliver action-scenes of the same or higher quality than its predecessor. Season 1 didn't deliver that in my opinion. Obviously there is nothing wrong with a slow start. The impatience I guess comes partially from the disaster that was GOT's season 8 and and an expectation that HBO will try to make it up for the viewers.
@@piotrnowak8725 in season 1 the war hadn't started yet. Just like Season 1 of game of thrones wasn't full of battles. Season 8 was 33% battles and it was the worst. @@k--music I guess i got used to battles in GOT-related shows. I hated almost everything in season 8, including battles. Enjoyed only the first 2 episodes. It was a straight downhill from that point. Season 1 of HOTD had probably more pure action than season 1 of GOT but lacked the humour and diversity of characters which could be compensated in more action. I would say it wasn't as brilliantly balanced as GOT.
House of the Dragon takes the worst parts of Game of Thrones (meaningless deaths/sex, rushing to get to the next storybeat, #fortheviews) and removes the interesting House to House intrigue for incest.
