- It's been awhile! I wanted to put out a small update video and show some images I've made over the last year. These were all shot on my Nikon F3 or my point & shoot. I usually shoot medium format, but for some reason all I've been wanting to shoot over the last year is 35mm. 99% of these were shot on Portra 400 and 800. My trip to New Zealand was for work so I didn't get much time to explore and shoot, BUT it was still so fun and beautiful. This video has me stoked to go on more photo walks and bring you along!

Man, truthfully, getting into video full time here wasn’t easy! Asheville is unfortunately ran mostly off of the service industry. That can be great for many people/reasons, but for people in our field, it can be tricky! It took me a year and some change to find solid video work (outside of ENO hammocks, but I was already working with them for a few years remotely)
HOWEVER that could’ve just been my luck/timing! I was really picky with what I wanted to do next. I didn’t want a bunch of freelance jobs anymore. I was wanting a set salary, 9-5, benefits, & 401k lol! Freelance-wise, I believe you’ll have a way easier time landing multiple clients. You just gotta reach out! The answer can only be “no” if you never ask! I DM’d companies constantly for years & that’s how I always landed my favorite clients. I did lots of freelance gigs here before working full time at my current job just by going into businesses & saying what I did & showing my portfolio. I also went into a few businesses (like coffee shops) and just shot short videos (like little reels) and then tagged & showed the companies to show some of my “talents” & ambition!
I hope this was a little bit helpful! You’re not wrong. Not a lot of video listings here. It truly just depends on what exactly you’re looking for, and I think if you have the drive to do it, you can make anything happen! 😁

Hello, amazing content! Sorry for these technical questions. But I your photos are great! I noticed your images have like a green tint to them. Did you have all of your film scanned by a lab? Did you do post editing to them, like wb or luts? Thank you!
Hey, thank you & thanks for watching!! I use 2 labs.
This video was a mix of 35mm shots on my Nikon F3 & my point & shoot. Mostly on Portra 400 & 800. My local lab does my 35mm shots but when I send film out to my other lab (for my 120 & 35mm shots) they scan on a Noritsu scanner. I also barely edit my photos but if I do, sometimes I pull greens out bc I like that look! But no heavy editing and no luts! Hope that helps.
