Would love to see another BASS tournament on the Ohio. A few years ago I would have said the weights would be a lot better. But the rivers been fishing tough the last couple years. I like watching tough tournaments though. Can’t be worse than the Sabine River!
I wish Original Stren was still the actual original Stren formula. The knew stuff is stiffer than Trilene XT. Unfortunately I bought a whole bunch of Stren for old times' sake. Big mistake, I should have bought Trilene.
Whoever is responsible for uploading these videos: all of the Classics from the 70’s to the early 80’s were shot on film. The picture quality on these Classic uploads is horrible. Barely watchable. Someone needs to scan the prints in higher quality and re-upload them for archive purposes. They deserve to be seen in optimum quality. Thank you.
These were they kind of guys who I looked up to as a little kid. Fishing sure has changed.

1983 was the last fall season for the Bassmaster Classic; this is the last fall season before switching over to summer in 1984.

As a 12yo in 83 these were my bassin heros. I ate up any info or tips I could find from these cats back then in BM magazine.
