I had a '50 Plymouth. Was given to me by a teacher in my high school for helping her move. 34,000 original miles. Tore off the seat covers and I had the original upholstery too. Of course, that was in 1963. Yours is more deluxe ... yours has a radio. When we stopped for fuel (full service at that time) I told them "fill up the oil and check the gas."
I like your town square. Looks like Back to the Future.

Such a good make for the money in those days. Plymouth had its days of glory. Plymouth, RIP.

I Have a 1950 Plymouth with Overdrive in Canada. 43K original miles and unrestored, fixed when required . Not a rattle, squeak or shimmy anywhere. Chassis Rubber like new. Engine is quiet at 60 to 70 when in Overdrive. Got 26 MPG the other day on a run to a Car Show. My slogan is: "Plymouth - Like a Rock, Only Better" to wind up the GM Guys !

Wish my dash still looked that good. I'm probably going to be painting mine black...can't imagine being able to recreate that with paint.

about 50 years ago, I drove such a Plymouth
it was a solid and a very well built car with an emphasis on the details
it had much character but it was not at its best to today highway speeds
the engine had its torque peak at 1200 RPM, that's why it was used in industrial and stationary applications up to the '70

I just bought a 1950 Special Deluxe 4 door with Overdrive. Drops revs way down at 60MPH. I call the Overdrive "Buick Mode". LOL! It has New Brakes and New Hankook Radials .

From 1960 to about 1964, we had a 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe as our family's #2 car. It was very comfy for the whole family. We really enjoyed it until rust killed it. (Maine...land of road salt)

I had a 1949 Plymouth coupe that still had a very nice wood grain dash in it. It was in three of the "Northern Exposure" shows on TV.

I'd like to have the 50 Plymouth to cruise around in. That's one sweet Mopar!

That original Di-Noc woodgrain dash is a sight to see. The gold still on the gauges and the green speaker material also certify its originality. I had a 1949 Special Deluxe 4door sedan in the early 80's and I thought it was nice then but it wasn't this nice! Beautiful automobile!
