@@SubzPawz yes some power supplys do support parallel wiring John it should be in ur specs on ur power supplys but it's not super common u need to read the manual or check the website there's specific types of power supplys that are built with that specific feature it's like 50/50 on whether urs will im thinking taramps and stetsom power supplys don't have this feature but the power bass brand does but don't quote me on that specifically. It totally depends on the power supply type how it's rail voltages are made . 💯 Check the owners manual.
I think too many people don't understand how subwoofers work and how they can really wire them. I'm going to say millions of people wire their sub's to 2 ohm's and think that's where their sub's run at. When in reality they're probably never going to even see 2 ohm's. Run at 4 ohm's and wonder why they're blowing sub's clipping their sub's and or the amplifier is not powerful enough. Almost every subwoofer we run is at 1/2 ohm load. They run about 1 ohm and never have any issues whatsoever. That's why I mention it in almost every video. Passing that knowledge on to other's. Thanks for your comment and support 🙂
I don't know guys I'm no expert at any thing I am running the exact amp on 2 hcy 12s at .5 ohm and nothing ever gets hot amp warms up but not hot And it pounds pretty good
This is all live demo's. Nothing made up or anything. We say exactly what is happening to inform you. He's actually upgraded since, he now has the Timpano 3500 12's. We have videos up. I don't know if we were running too hard or what but we have things lined out now. The amp still gets hot but I think it's just the amp running hard. We have both the white original version and the black edition. Thanks for your comment 😊

I would bet my life thr regular smart 3k is the best 3k taramps makes i avree 💯 with ur review if thats ur results i was able to get over 3k but... I had to use heavy bass boost and heavy gain and... Higher input voltage john i wish u guys would use a y adapter to use both left and right and be able to use the one input that the amp comes with. I almost feel like u got a hurt amp.
We did get close to 4K, but, yes but. I had to add bass boost and gain to get that from the amp. We did a ton of off camera testing too. The sub was getting super hot, not one but every sub we tested. That's not a good thing either because if someone had that in their trunk within 10-20 minutes they would have blown sub's. But I think I'm going to get one for myself. Caleb is getting another amplifier also.
I had to use small wich runs a tad small 1/0 skar ofc very short runs. That amp should easily use real 1/0 over size inputs the power gets sky high if u add bass boost it can get crazy on the power. I was able to get around 3400 rising to 1.2 ohm is the lowest rise i could come up with but john ur power supplys kills my set up my voltage was dropping to 12.0 volts but the lights are cool i guess i can live without them tho.
Yeah my voltage drops like a point to 14.3. I'm going to get all my cameras setup so I can show it on camera. I think I'm going to get the punisher too so I can run a 1/2 to 1 ohm test on it. I want to see some real power coming from it. All my wire's are 1/0. I'd like to try double runs and see if that makes any difference. I'm also going to get a new rack for all my testing equipment.
I thought the new big boss series came with the bass knob the one that was sent to me had a bass knob and was comparable to the smart 3k but the big boss handles .5 ohm and does 3k at 2 , 1 .5 ohm ? Atleast the model i tested out did.
I'm going to buy myself the black edition. I don't know if he got a bad amp or what. We got power, consistent power too. I'm going to do a few different tests too. I might get another punisher 12 too that way I can do the half ohm test on the amp. I just got a huge deal yesterday on a couple gem's of car audio. I'll have them up soon. I have a bunch of things and a bunch of videos already done I have to get up. To the future my friend.

I'm just as pumped as you. Question. Have you ever wired 2 power supplies together in parallel? If so how did you do it and what were your results.

Guys I have this amp the 3 on the amp lights up when you clip in soft to stronger colors of orange to red. The big boss 3 lights up when clipping.
