The more I learn about Wing Chun the less I know. There are so many levels to every technique, so many subtleties that what appears so simple and obvious is really so advanced that those without the understanding just miss it completely. Thank you Clive for posting these clips of SiGung Wong.

@clivepot : i really appreciate how you responded to the commentator grinolazlo. you eren't violent or beligerent in any way. You did a wonderful job in expressing the point and, in doing so in such a calm and rational fashion, demonstrated the mannerisms of a true Ving Tsun practioner. -God Bless-

wc long Pole is the Shaolin Dragon Pole. And WC is not the only Southern style that does the Luk Dim Bwopn Gwun ( 6 point and 1/2 stuff Pole) . There are three different types of Pole or stuff 1. The pointing system , 2. The fishing system, and 3. The two end system. Any one who claims that he is the Shaolin should know the difference.

if applied correctly it is... movements that take the shortest route will always be faster.. a straight punch will hit its target faster than a hook for example... but thats just wing chun theory.. to actually be able to master wing chun takes a great amount of time, much commitment and a skilled teacher who knows the real deal (90% of wing chun in this world sucks), but in the end it still comes down to the fighter and not the style

i like the pole form but he did it wrong.....his attacks was wrong(when he was "rushed" forward with the pole) and when he did the pat (hitting down with the pole)

Idiot wing chun IS simple, there is no "fancy movement" in this art. Just directness
