You can check out the videos, but Preach kept reaching to ask when was the best time to do it, Fresh and Myron backed out time after time. Even when Aba said that he'd pay them $20k upfront to box, ya know what Fresh said? He wanted to do it in front of a live audience and get sponsors for it. When Aba said no to that, Fresh backed out. Fresh and Fit dodged fighting Preach, continuously I might add. Preach is the one who accepted and was fine with fighting it out in the ring. It's two years late to be like, "Ok Abba I know I ran away from wanting a fade years ago, but NOW I want one!" Like just move on and be better Myron, stop trying to act tough and make it seem like you should fight everyone who disagrees with your views or makes fun of you. Yeah... I've been saying that the biggest drama queen I've ever had in my life was actually a grown man. And people say women are the emotional ones. The truth is that men are just as capable of being emotional, but it's bad when they are emotionally volatile and can go full crazy mode over the tiniest things. A person who cannot control their emotions are dangerous.
And don't get me wrong but you can use emotions for positive things too, it's way worse to feel so depressed you can't even feel anything. You can use sadness and anger to motivate yourself towards changing your life for the better. For people who have many strong emotions and are on a bad path in life it can take a while to figure out how to navigate these things. I think the people who are using their anger for destruction instead of self improvement have been led astray by other people who have ulterior motives. Like what F&F are doing to their fanbase bascially... Money, fame, crab bucket mentality of "if I can't improve myself then nobody should either".

But about twenty years ago I was in the waiting room of a doctors office and I was reading a magazine, and it had this interview with a guy who had turned his life around but when he was a heroin addict, he was an old school con artist who used to start his cons via cold calls. Something I read in the interview stuck with me ever since. He was describing his process and he said if a woman picked up, he would ask “can I speak to the man of the house?” The interviewer asked why he did this, sort of assuming it was because the man probably had more say over the finances (this was between like the 60s and the 80s so the question itself was more common) and the ex con artist said no, “it’s because men are more emotional” and (in his mind) easier to manipulate. As a man I always thought that was interesting coming from a fellow man who essentially had the ability to test that belief empirically (as in, if his assessment was correct, he made money and got his fix, if it was wrong then he wouldn’t). As I’ve gotten older I agree more and more, and I think it’s because men are socialized to convince ourselves that we’re not emotional and what we’re feeling isn’t actually emotion, so we have a harder time recognizing when an underlying emotional reaction to something is affecting our decision-making. That’s my hypothesis, anyway.
After being incarcerated for 6 years I have to say that isn’t always true. Some quiet guys are dangerous and don’t feel the need to bark, some quiet guys are quiet because they’re timid and avoid confrontation. Some loud guys are dangerous some loud guys are trying to appear tough because they’re scared. It’s pretty evenly distributed
Perfect example of this behavior not working in the real world: I had a coworker who had a very similar attitude. Always puffing his chest and feeling like he needed to defend his pride over the smallest conflicts. He was the sole breadwinner of his family, multiple kids and one on the way. We have very good paying jobs working for a government agency but he confided in me about the pressures he was under financially as we live in a very expensive city. Our work building is partially opened to the public since we are attached to many other office buildings and a major transit hub. One day when he was done for the day but still on property someone stopped him to ask for directions. Apparently my coworker was kind of an asshole in the interaction and the man called him a "bitch." My coworker flew off the handle and asked him to fight outside. Before they even had a chance to get outside they got into a physical altercation in the middle of the lobby. Others were around and called the police. My coworker tried to claim self defence but as it's a government building we have cameras everywhere. Through the investigation the camera footage made it clear my coworker was the aggressor. After this he was fired from his job and the other man pressed charges. He lost everything.

So I told him nicely to take it out as we are not responsible if anything happens to it. He proceeded to yell and scream at me and I was like "I'm not arguing with you bro" and walked back to the register. Then my boss yelled at him to take his bike out, "take your bike and get the fuck out, my employee talked very nice to you!" And he took his bike and got out. But I also told my boss the next time he comes in and acts like that, we're gonna have problems, I know he has mental issues but that's no excuse to be rude and disrespectful, and if he wants to act like an animal, I will gladly treat him like one. And he said, I wouldn't have to worry about him again and he'll take care of it. Never saw him back since.

They fought outside on the vet's private parking, neighbor got his ass kicked, hurt his back, sued the vet and... won. I don't know how much the vet had to pay but all that to say, even if someone is picking a fight with you it's better to just not engage with them.

@jay-uy1pt welll depends. Normal military (at least for us in the USA) training doesn't even involve actual physical combat training. Iirc Marines do have a class and a set of certifications for cqc, but it's more of a side qualification, even for boots on ground boys. All sects of the military however are taught to use firearms, regardless of what job you're going into. We're all trained to kill, though it may not be directly. We are trained to use our tools to kill for our country should it need to happen. From firearms to the wrench on a piece of vital gear.

It gets into more of a grey area if you saw them and didn’t slow down assuming they’d get out of the way, which is more appropriate here. So it completely depends on the circumstances. If he stomped the dude out when he was on the ground then yeah that 10 probably wasn’t even enough. If it was a regular fistfight over something dumb, and he ceased when it was obvious the other guy lost, most people are not thinking that will lead to the other person’s death. There was another instance (in one of the interrogation videos that’s on RUclips, I forget the name) where it was a full on stabbing, the guy stabbed the decedent at least a dozen times, and iirc he only got a 10 year sentence as well because it was mitigated by the circumstances.

I'm a blue collar man with a 5 years steady girlfriend who would die for me and the opposite is true. We've lived in rough places. We've been through hell. Picking fights is not a luxury that I have to protect myself and or her. I fight when I have to and I rarely have the energy for anything else. Growing up being trained in MMA we were always taught that fighting in the street was always a last resort. The true sign of a man is restraint and discernment. Knowing when its necessary to get physical and when to either work it out or walk away. You two gentleman seem like good men, keep up the great work.

As someone who boxed for 6 years, training and fighting are two different things. It took me until my 6th or 7th fight to actually get comfortable and flow in the ring. Just because you do Tae bo doesn't make you a killer.
One can never 100% emulate a real fight with training or sparing. When fighting you quickly learn how serious it is. And you as a fighter try your best to avoid it the unnecessary ones. 💪🏽
I find it a bitch move to call someone not in your specialty into your specialty. Honestly, being emotional is OKAY. Everyone feels emotions. However, we must all keep our negative emotions under control. Anger is healthy, until it becomes violence. Yeah... I've been saying that the biggest drama queen I've ever had in my life was actually a grown man. And people say women are the emotional ones. And don't get me wrong but you can use emotions for positive things too, it's way worse to feel so depressed you can't even feel anything. You can use sadness and anger to motivate yourself towards changing your life for the better. For people who have many strong emotions and are on a bad path in life it can take a while to figure out how to navigate these things. I think the people who are using their anger for destruction instead of self improvement have been led astray by other people who have ulterior motives. But about twenty years ago I was in the waiting room of a doctors office and I was reading a magazine, and it had this interview with a guy who had turned his life around but when he was a heroin addict, he was an old school con artist who used to start his cons via cold calls. Something I read in the interview stuck with me ever since.
He was describing his process and he said if a woman picked up, he would ask “can I speak to the man of the house?” The interviewer asked why he did this, sort of assuming it was because the man probably had more say over the finances (this was between like the 60s and the 80s so the question itself was more common) and the ex con artist said no, “it’s because men are more emotional” and (in his mind) easier to manipulate.
As a man I always thought that was interesting coming from a fellow man who essentially had the ability to test that belief empirically (as in, if his assessment was correct, he made money and got his fix, if it was wrong then he wouldn’t). As I’ve gotten older I agree more and more, and I think it’s because men are socialized to convince ourselves that we’re not emotional and what we’re feeling isn’t actually emotion, so we have a harder time recognizing when an underlying emotional reaction to something is affecting our decision-making. That’s my hypothesis, anyway.

I had a coworker who had a very similar attitude. Always puffing his chest and feeling like he needed to defend his pride over the smallest conflicts. He was the sole breadwinner of his family, multiple kids and one on the way. We have very good paying jobs working for a government agency but he confided in me about the pressures he was under financially as we live in a very expensive city. Our work building is partially opened to the public since we are attached to many other office buildings and a major transit hub. One day when he was done for the day but still on property someone stopped him to ask for directions. Apparently my coworker was kind of an asshole in the interaction and the man called him a "bitch." My coworker flew off the handle and asked him to fight outside. Before they even had a chance to get outside they got into a physical altercation in the middle of the lobby. Others were around and called the police. My coworker tried to claim self defence but as it's a government building we have cameras everywhere. Through the investigation the camera footage made it clear my coworker was the aggressor. After this he was fired from his job and the other man pressed charges. He lost everything.

So I told him nicely to take it out as we are not responsible if anything happens to it. He proceeded to yell and scream at me and I was like "I'm not arguing with you bro" and walked back to the register. Then my boss yelled at him to take his bike out, "take your bike and get the fuck out, my employee talked very nice to you!" And he took his bike and got out. But I also told my boss the next time he comes in and acts like that, we're gonna have problems, I know he has mental issues but that's no excuse to be rude and disrespectful, and if he wants to act like an animal, I will gladly treat him like one. And he said, I wouldn't have to worry about him again and he'll take care of it. Never saw him back since.

Iirc Marines do have a class and a set of certifications for cqc, but it's more of a side qualification, even for boots on ground boys. All sects of the military however are taught to use firearms, regardless of what job you're going into. We're all trained to kill, though it may not be directly. We are trained to use our tools to kill for our country should it need to happen. From firearms to the wrench on a piece of vital gear.

If it was a regular fistfight over something dumb, and he ceased when it was obvious the other guy lost, most people are not thinking that will lead to the other person’s death. There was another instance (in one of the interrogation videos that’s on RUclips, I forget the name) where it was a full on stabbing, the guy stabbed the decedent at least a dozen times, and iirc he only got a 10 year sentence as well because it was mitigated by the circumstances.

Growing up being trained in MMA we were always taught that fighting in the street was always a last resort. The true sign of a man is restraint and discernment. Knowing when its necessary to get physical and when to either work it out or walk away. You two gentleman seem like good men, keep up the great work.

As someone who boxed for 6 years, training and fighting are two different things. It took me until my 6th or 7th fight to actually get comfortable and flow in the ring. Just because you do Tae bo doesn't make you a killer.
One can never 100% emulate a real fight with training or sparing. When fighting you quickly learn how serious it is. And you as a fighter try your best to avoid it the unnecessary ones. 💪🏽

My therapist told me that anger is often a secondary emotion and the primary emotion is often fear, sadness, grief etc. Myron has so much anger inside. I truly hopes he’s able to process it and grow into a better person. At this point, I don’t find it even funny to laugh at him. I see a man who is deeply hurting and puts on this alpha male facade and ends up directing that hurt at people who have done nothing to deserve it.

Finally!!! I was so happy watching this video and hearing this take. I have lost so many friends due to high emotional responses to name calling and getting goaded out, only to get set up and killed. It's not worth it, and it's not a hit to your manhood to walk away from a fight. Being comfortable in your own skin and not needing to appease people's curiosity/perception of you, is where a lot of strength lies.
