I just got back into digital painting and creating more concepts for my zoos. And today we turn this into an actual Planet Zoo Habitat!

I hope you guys enjoyed the slightly different video approach. Lemme know what you think about it
I liked it. The small jumps are nice because you see most of the process without watching the entire struggle.
The docu style is different, not better or worse, just different. The main positive change is you going in depth for the reasoning of why you built things the way you did, instead of the usual "It looks good/realistic this way."
@@Kaneanite yep - but I can only talk about it IF its really the case haha
I´m just diving into Planzoo, coming from Planco (i have similar reasons as you mentionend in the one video, why you have stopped playing it - but will at some time return to it) .
This idea is amazing, creative and very fresh. I just got inspired by this very much. I think this is the way, future zoos will look like. Habitats which are themed and experienced like themeparks but instead of coaster, modern - sustainable architecture with living animals in it. No ugly chain fences and more like exiting habitats for the animals, too. I really think we are looking into the future here. Awesome done, absolutly great job on execution and planning!
I love how you made that bridge feel, when you look down into the habitat, it really FEELS like you're looking down. I especially loved the mesh wood walls with foliage-beautiful! My favorite thing about this are all the different viewing angles you've given the guests. So many different ways and opportunities to view them. I don't think that could be accomplished without this kind of footprint. Great concept from start to finish!!! 👏
Thank you :) was loads of fun to build
It was my pleasure to help Rudi ! Gilhote, the conservation slat guy here !
Yeeeaaaasss
@@RudiRennkamel And now you can use it for future projects ! Especially low budget primate and monkey exhibits
Absolutely beautiful habitat! I wish I had the patience to build things this intricate and beautiful!
I lol’d at about 21:20 when the caretaker just thinks and then walks off into the bamboo 😂
Now I bursted out laughing too haha
Who else thinks this is one of Rudi's best videos?
Thank you :) really enjoyed it!
Very well constructed video, really. I'm so glad we rid of that underwater viewing on the stream, waterfall and stream looks much better there.
Thou inside backstage area should be more like you did in lions habitat, meshed and separate areas for keepers and cats.
well tbf - you´d only have 2+ cubs ...so you don´t need that many boxes. But as said, its not fully done as it would take another 10hrs lmao
i just love how it turned out! im gonna steal that artic wood and steel beam wall planter thingy.
i learned so much from this 2 parter. i mean timelapses are fine, but hearing the thoughtprocess about it all and how that influences certain decisions during gameplay gives me much more insight in how things go.
one tiny thing tho, as it was build with franchise in mind, the enrichment items might need to be removed before uploading it to the workshop. if you havent researched the animal (enough) yet, they will be unavailable and thus the entire blueprint will be locked.
Ohhh good point!
What a truly beautiful creation! I'm blown away by seeing this develop from concept art to a functional, real-world (game world, at least) habitat perfectly suited for these animals. Kudos!!!
Such a cool and unique design!
Came back because I forgot to comment when I watched it the first time: But yes! Love it! I love the follow up and how you chop the timelapse up a bit to explain and go into detail. If there's one thing I'd like to see, is maybe insert a piece of the drawing at every section like 'this is what we're working on now' as a reminder how the concept art translates (you kind of did this near the end of the video). I think that gives another great reminder. Really enjoy this series and I hope you continue it, it's very inspiring and educational.
I've watched this episode twice, and I think this is my newly favourite habitat you've ever made!
thats great. Boost the Algo. HAHAHA
Bonjour Rudi. I did not imagine this final rendering despite your illustration. It's impressive! Thank you for sharing.
This habit is so cool! I'm so impressed how you can come up with these ideas and make it turn out so amazing like this! Definitely taking lots of notes on this.
Looks great
man WTF! your videos are so underrated (in terms of views)...nice work!
Unglaublich der Mann.
Thanks :)
i love the builds you do like i want to do the same kind of buildings but i don't have the patience lol
YES!
I love these episodes, seeing concept to completion and things you’re thinking about is really helpful. Would you consider doing an episode on how you go about planning a layout of the zoo has a whole? I have a really hard time planning out where to put new habitats.
Amazing!!!
This turned out very well, it's not an exact 1 to 1 of the concept, but nothing ever is. 👍👍
I think this format if you can keep it up is the best so far. :)
BTW so it's you posting this at Planet Zoo Nation 🤣 I thought it was someone else and I was going to call him out for taking your work hahaha.
Hahaha no it's a me!
@@RudiRennkamel imagine my shock and surprise!
So creative and original. Great work!
been waiting for this one 😁
IS HE THE BOB ROSS OF PLANET ZOO?!
yes
This looks absolutely fantastic! Only issue for me would be the size since I am notorious for uilding habitats that have enough space for babies XD
On another note, where are you showing the zoos from the wetlands dome challenge? I looked the whole week but couldnt find anything about them on youtube and was wandering, if you do them somewhere else?
No No. This habitat just took SO much time. And now its gamescom this week. So much going on haha!
I think this might be one of your best habitats, and preparation.
But I have one slight problem with the roof at the exit from the inside area, wouldn't they be able to jump on it realistically?
It looks kinda low without a fence to block them
You are right. I forgot the fence!
@@RudiRennkamel and one question, what are those roud pieces in the white wall under the bridge?
Really nice build Rudi! IIRC, a while ago you said something about an animation for the leopard that Frontier didn't tell anyone about, but I couldn't understand what it was exactly. Do you know what I mean?
Amazing Design!
The design is great, but which big cat shall we see next?
not sure if I stick to big cats haha. I planned this a long time ago. And for speedbuild I wanna do something differnt next
@@RudiRennkamelmaybe when the new DLC pack comes, maybe you can come up with another zoo in a different environment,.
They should make this a zoo you can access without the steam workshop
Yes lets go
Nice video !
Jo rudy why dont u try something new like creating an ark survival evolved map for example I would like to see that.
