Gotta say, one reason I love your videos is how you explain things. It's one thing to watch a speedbuild with random commentary about someone's day but to hear the reasoning behind a decision as you build (why you use this object, how to do this, the franchise tips, etc.) is really helpful.
As someone who lived near the Houston Zoo for many years this absolutely warms my heart to hear you say you think Houston has the best Sea Lion habitat in the world! (: Amazing build as always!
You really inspire me to make cool habitats myself. Your creations are detailed, but at the same time, don't feel impossible. And I think its because you explain everything that is happening on screen, instead of random commentary. Very easy to watch, as I tend to skip the building part when I watch other youtubers. Soothing voice, clear explanations, nice ideas. Loving these videos
As a Houston native and also the guy who uploaded alot of reference photos of the habitat onto zoochat, I gotta say that this is a beautiful recreation. Not only did you capture the sleek and modern appeal Houston’s sea Lion enclosure beams with, but you also gave it your own spin to make the habitat truly your own brilliant creation. Amazingly done!
Oh god, the jumpscare I got from minute 1, lol. As a Houston resident, I feel so proud to hear you praise our Sea Lion habitat. It's always a highlight to go there first thing and see the Sea Lions sitting cute and hamming it up around the underwater section. Amazing work recreating your own rendition!
As a semi regular visitor to the Houston zoo, this looks amazing! Love the inclusion of the terrapin exhibit; reminds me of the section for Galapagos tortoises :)
That's cool, I actually got to go to the early opening of this exhibit, it's awesome seeing a hometown exhibit. The Houston Zoo really is an incredible organization
I like how you added signs about the individual animals with their names and backstories. You should do the same for the elephants and some other animals. Really nice!
I’ve just come from 24 hours of binge watching the Tekton Zoo playlist after I accidentally watched all of San Bernadino first and it’s just great to see how far you’ve come!
This is just WOW 😍 The shape of the pools is so nice, especially with all of that greenery above the cave area. LOVE the seating area, would love to go to an educational show there.
I literally have learned so much from your videos. I just found planet zoo after years of JWE 1&2. I love that you take the time to explain, and have bits of knowledge segments to help newer players like me. I feel like I always learn something new each time.
This is so great! This and the Sea Lion Shores exhibit at the Henry Doorly Zoo are going to be great inspiration for when I get to my Sea Lion habitat!
Finally, I love sea lions/seals and was waiting for this episode for so long. It turned out absolutely epic. Now I want to make a sea lion habitat, but I'm not yet on my north americen area....
I live in Houston, but you know more about that sea lion exhibit than me!! I didn't know there were parts beyond the amphitheater section. Thanks for letting me know I need to explore more closely!
Amazing build ! Can we see an aerial view of all the zoo because it can seem clear for you but we are completly lost in the zoo. It may be nice to put a plain everytime you start a build i will be extremely gratefull. Keep going man ! You're doing such a great job !
The whole build was great, but my favorite part was the cave and the terrapin area. Overall, I love that you're putting effort into the reptile, amphibian, and invertebrate habitats. An actual reptile house would be cool, but I actually think what you're doing is more creative. Keep it up.
I recommend going to Burgers Zoo in Arnhem - The Netherlands. Really original zoo which creates different biomes including a Jungle House, Mangrove dome, Ocean cave, Desert house and more. And while you are there, I also recommend Blijdorp in Rotterdam and Safaripark Beekse Bergen in Hilvarenbeek. Probably the top 3 zoo's in The Netherlands
The Netherlands is amazing for zoos. The only reason I'm not visiting on my trip is that it's a country I've been to and I wanted to concentrate on new countries. I'm sure I will do a little tour of the country one day though!
Did you remember to put in the animal talk point? I didn't see one. Love the build, you're my favorite PZ builder by far! And I LOVE sea lions, they look like dogs ❤️🐶
Have u ever thought about adding other animals to each sections of the zoo? Like Amazonia: Maned Wolf, Giant Anteater Nocturnal House: European Badger Indian Forest: Gharial, Indian Elephant, Dhole Africa: Cheetah, Wild Dog, Warthog, Wildebeest Islands: Water Buffalo, Sun Bear
Great idea, I seem to remember struggling with the fourth side with the pieces I used. Well 1 piece I used haha. If I can get it looking good from every angle I will do!
This is the best build I could ever imagine! Detail, realism... Im impressed! Would you recommend this build for the Grey Seal? Also I guess next week DLC video? What animal is coming next? Im so excited!
Fantastic build! I do want to build something similar to this one that but i actually like the Omaha zoo more as inspiration. Is pretty similar to this one though. Thanks for explaining the whole process because that way we can learn how to do this habitats that seem impossible! Is what i love most of your videos. You give a lot of tips and explanations as to how to build things :) Idk if you have a tutorial on how to make those plaster circles and fake plazas? I would love that.
I saw a brilliant idea by Iben - ZWED of using the underside of the new leek item to make barnacles! They would work perfectly for this build and maybe Penguin Cove Video: 10 creative ways to use the Barnyard DLC! | Planet Zoo Barnyard Animal Pack
Ooh, Iben is a master builder will check it out, I intended to have barnacles but went with the starfish instead. I also made some seaweed on the rocks but didn’t feature it in the video
Amazing build as always! Side note, I highly recommend you check out Tsori, another PZ content creator. I think both of you can benefit from tons of building inspiration from one another!
That’s a great idea. I did originally plan to have a Maned Wolf & Giant Anteater habitat along the path from Amazonia to the Desert House but Madagascar replaced it.
Hey Z, love the build-been following since the beginning! I know you recently mentioned you updated your graphics card but couldn’t find if you mentioned what card specifically. I’m finally looking to upgrade my PC and would love a benchmark if you could let me know what you have? Thanks!
Thanks! My full stats are in the night house video description, the CPU is very important as well. I just realised I’ve forgotten to copy them into the videos since so thanks for the reminder!
Does anyone happen to know what the measurements are for those poster screens? The vertical ones, i cant for the life of me find it but ive seen loads of people use it
If you were okay with some more noticeable clipping, you could just make the stairs look like a ramp using i.e. plaster pieces, right? Asking because, while I own Planet Zoo, my poor old laptop can not run it properly (otherwise I'd test it myself)
I really want u to build a zoo for me but unfortunately I am on ps5😢if u can build a zoo for me I don’t want a really detailed one such as ur san Bernardino zoo as u prob hv other stuff to do but would appreciate if u could build a zoo for me❤btw love the vids.
As a sea lion I am very grateful that you built me a house
Haha! Anytime!

Glad to hear it! I try to make my vids educational as well as entertaining!
As someone who lived near the Houston Zoo for many years this absolutely warms my heart to hear you say you think Houston has the best Sea Lion habitat in the world! (: Amazing build as always!
Aw thanks. I first heard about it from a RUclipsr called MaskedBandit. If you’ve not seen him I highly recommend him!
It’s amazing how it goes from a bunch of glass to an amazing structure. Absolutely amazing!
Thanks!
You out did yourself, easily top 5 habitats youve built
Awesome! Thanks VA!
I love the way the sea lions swim. Something about it is so mesmerizing and their sleek coats after they come out look so good
Okay fine, I'll subscribe and watch every video on your channel! This was so inspiring to watch! The amount of detail is crazy!
Haha thanks, glad you enjoyed it 😆
HOUSTON ZOO MENTIONED!!! My hometown zoo, this is awesome. I recognized the similarities through the thumbnail alone!

I hope you took some breaks, that’s a lot of me to watch 😆
This is just WOW 😍 The shape of the pools is so nice, especially with all of that greenery above the cave area. LOVE the seating area, would love to go to an educational show there.
The original is magnificent! I really wanna go!
Absolutely amazing, reminds me that I should make it really an event to just be at an enclosure. Learn so much from these vids!
Thanks FD!
This is my second most favourite habitat in your zoo, (the best is of course the Otter Habitat, i am very happy about that)
Hah, which one? Giant or Small-Clawed?
@@ZSHplays Both, Otters are Otters, my family, and i respect each otter (but the small-clawed otter is a bit better, don't tell eny otter this)
As a Houston native I saw the thumbnail and KNEW it was the sea lion habitat here omg
Haha excellent!

Outstanding build, great video!
Thanks!
I never thought I’d see you build something from my local zoo! This is really, really cool to see.
I love watching the zoo come together
Omg brilliant. So clever, inspiring, and so well executed.
Thank you so much!
This is a masterpiece
Thanks BC 😁
Going to the Houston zoo for my bday on Friday! Woo!
Ooh I’m jealous!
you even made a starfish bro
This is a great build, really enjoyed watching it!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
@@ZSHplays your welcome! 😃
This really reminds me of the sea lions in sea world San Diego in California , really great build
fantastic work!!!! love the little turtle too!
Thanks!
I live in Houston, but you know more about that sea lion exhibit than me!! I didn't know there were parts beyond the amphitheater section. Thanks for letting me know I need to explore more closely!
This is my own take on it so it’s not exactly the same
Love the video ❤😊
this just gave me inspo for my penguin habitat, gtg🏃♀️🏃♀️
Enjoy!
You just reminded me of my intense love for sealions 😭❤ it looks incredible as your builds always do!
Cant wait for Frozen North, the final area of the zoo!!
Omg this is beautiful, the cave is so good!!! Your so good at this game
Thanks!
Great vid man I saw a video of the Galápagos Islands at Houston zoo as well
This is nuts
Stunning as usual
Thanks!
My favourite one of yours so far!!
Awesome!
As someone who has seen this in real life, it is beautiful
Aw thank you! I need to get to Houston to see it myself!

I LOVE UR Planet Wild series, i want a wildebeest migration one PLS.
this was magical to watch. thank you.
Haha thanks!
Very beautiful
Thank you!
soo beutiful... love it
Thanks!
watching videos like these just shows how much i suck at this game uggh. Beautiful build
Haha thank you! Needs a lot of practice!
I’d love a wildebeest enclosure, I LUV em, :)
can we see a full map of the zoo from above maybe? love this habitat probably my favourite yet ☺️
Coming in a future episode!
Love this habitat so inspiring
But personally I think it should be called sea lion bay
I got it from Berlin zoo
Amazing zoo
OMG I never thought my fav RUclipsr would respond
You have just made my year
Just went to the Houston Zoo this past weekend! Loved it until the heat exhaustion kicked in.
I’m jealous! I love the heat as well 😁

Damn, bloody amazing work!

Yup, it’s covered with Vigoga’s talk point cover from the workshop
Cant wait to watch later 😊.
Edit:watched it ,It looks amazing
Have u ever thought about adding other animals to each sections of the zoo? Like
Amazonia: Maned Wolf, Giant Anteater
Nocturnal House: European Badger
Indian Forest: Gharial, Indian Elephant, Dhole
Africa: Cheetah, Wild Dog, Warthog, Wildebeest
Islands: Water Buffalo, Sun Bear
I have but there is very little space. Maybe at some point though
maybe put the monolith at a centeral point near the entrance and hide a vista piont in t or sometthing so that guests look at it
Great idea, I seem to remember struggling with the fourth side with the pieces I used. Well 1 piece I used haha. If I can get it looking good from every angle I will do!
Oh uploaded just about as I came home from work. Nice. It's been a long day.
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@ZSHplays I did! I'm always looking forward to coming home from work and sitting down to eat and watching your latest upload
do a underwater train with glass around it for underwater animals
This is the best build I could ever imagine! Detail, realism... Im impressed! Would you recommend this build for the Grey Seal? Also I guess next week DLC video? What animal is coming next? Im so excited!
Yeh I think it would work for them fine. Trying to finish it this weekend but time is tight!
Hey! Am I the only one who noticed that they are named after real Houston Zoo sea lions? Some could say that I am a dedicate subscriber!!!
Hah you are correct!
really incredible
My jaw dropped at the end
Awesome!

@@ZSHplays Thanks! I'll check it out.
I'm actually sad to see all these last filler spaces being used becuase it means we're nearly at the end! What an achievement San Bernadino is!!!
I know! Still got a fair few habitats to go though 😁
I saw a brilliant idea by Iben - ZWED of using the underside of the new leek item to make barnacles! They would work perfectly for this build and maybe Penguin Cove

dont forget underwater webcams for online donations
This is a great idea! I’ll add them when I’m back!
Love this zoo!
You are so talented
Do you think that someone will ever put fonts on the console workshop? Also you are the best builder in PZ imo
Thanks! Maybe one day?
Maybe you can do a patagonian zone with alpaca and llama, maned wolf and ant eater habitats ;)
That’s a great idea. I did originally plan to have a Maned Wolf & Giant Anteater habitat along the path from Amazonia to the Desert House but Madagascar replaced it.

Hi there! Such an Amazing build! But I was wondering if I could recreate The San Bernardino Zoo in Minecraft, it would be so cool.
Thanks, of course you can, as long as you credit me 😁

@@ZSHplays Also i just finished the Flamingo Habitat
Hello ash plays , I’m finally back online , I watched this video and I really like this build. Btw I’m Wanda
Hello ash plays , I’m back this habitat in very great in my opinon ( btw Im Wanda )
Im so tempted on console to build a Sea lion Habitat but Ima wait for The aqautic pac to I can use Faux rocks
Not long to wait now!
Does anyone happen to know what the measurements are for those poster screens? The vertical ones, i cant for the life of me find it but ive seen loads of people use it
What do you use to record your videos? Also your really talented
Just what comes with my gfx card
He didn't lie in the title.
😁
You pronounced Hosta fine (Gardner here) for ultra realism they do like shade. Full blistering sun can burn their leaves. They don't climb though
Excellent thanks. Yeh I’m using them to represent a generic climber here as I’m bored of ivy 😁
Did you know that seals live on rocks and sea lions on sand?
You mentioned in the beginning of season 3 that there would be a bring project happening within it. When’s that happening?
" a bring project"?
You mentioned in the very beginning there was going to be another big area about the arctic north or something like that
@@megakoopa-pokemonandmore6152 Aha, yes that is starting very soon!
If you were okay with some more noticeable clipping, you could just make the stairs look like a ramp using i.e. plaster pieces, right? Asking because, while I own Planet Zoo, my poor old laptop can not run it properly (otherwise I'd test it myself)
You could but the default ramp angle is too steep to be a wheelchair ramp so it's still not ideal
@@ZSHplays true, it would be more of a "if you squint it's fine" sort of solution
Nah, incredible
Is there a way to slow down the breeding of my animals? Get overwhelmed by it 😂
Yes, you can increase animal ageing in Settings
have you been to denmark
No, hoping to one day though
