I disagree. This allows for more customization. It means you can finally just use your favorite weapon and still carry an ammo crate. It allows for more teamplay.

I kinda like the voice acting. It would’ve been great if they stuck with the nameless-soldier vibe though.
Playing as a random soldier who you can empathize with based on their reactions to the world around them sounds great, I think. Imagine being in something like Metro and you can hear all the enemies screaming at you and your team screaming back!!

They should have just remade battlefield 4 with remastered graphics and made the dlc standard would have been less work and more profit. I would have bought it. I think battlefield 4 I'd the pinnacle of what that game should be

I feel like I’m being nit picky about this but I don’t really like how they made the specialists specific people. They all have the same uniform and it doesn’t really feel like a distinction between teams. Im fine with the specialist idea but it’s weird seeing 25 Boris dudes running around the map(I know there will be more characters on launch) but I really liked how in previous battlefields the soldiers were unique to each faction. US troops looked like US troops and Russian troops looked liked Russian troops. Wish they’d get rid of the characters and go back to normal looking soldiers

I love how Jack makes it look really fun. When I went on I had enemies walking round with parachutes still attached, kept spawning into helo fire and couldn't get to grips with any of the weapons. This clip has restored my faith

I really hope they allow us to change the heli's view from locked to horizon to what it used to be. Flying feels VERY off in heli's.
There are some disadvantages: shinny/plastic colors that don't look real, very unrealistic and primitive motion on vehicles and soldiers, super high jumps like spider-man, each soldier is like a whole barrack, no nice sounds like in BF3, no realistic feeling overall. The feeling is closer to the plastic COD than the atmospheric BF3.
But a few of this might change due to this only being a beta

@@LuigiFuckingRocks89 The game sounds like COD. In previous Battlefield games, the devs put forth the effort of using actual audio recordings of real gunfire. Now, just like COD games, the gunfire is just computer-generated sound effects. Doesn't sound real at all. Comes off as lazy and careless of the devs.
Battlefield games always had extremely authentic and immersive sound effects. Now it sounds no different from a COD game. That's not progress. That's a step back.
The fact that your soldier reacts to falling from a great height is probably my new favorite thing.

Sure, it’s similar but it feels nothing close to Bf1’s Immersion, especially when all the operators are clones, which would be fine if they were soldiers not characters.

Edit: 4:01 is the sound effect I wish was for headshots but it’s Everytime you get a medal.

There *is* an option in the settings to change the hitmarker sound but the BF1 sounds aren't available in the beta 😔

People are used to very competitive games like Battle royale games and still have the sweatlord mindset. Battlefield is about doing goofy shit that leads to Battlefield moments and having fun even if you lose the round.

This game is so intense I love it has a bit of everything in an FPS game
The one thing that absolutely needs to be in the game is the headshot bonus. That is what made sniping in BF3. All my friends and I would be always trying to best each other's longest headshot. Sniping at distance and learning the reticles made it a challenge. With this you don't get the feed back of holy sh*t I made that shot at 1000+ yds.
So ur those type of players that sit up in the mountain all game on Firestorm.

This is the first vid that legit REALLY makes me want to play 2042 and I've watched a lot of vids.
I really liked the blue notifications that came up in BF3 when you killed players, and that it stacked up if you got more kills close after.

Looks great fun. My only complaint is the amount of dead space on the map. Allot of open plains with next to no cover. Even in the close quarters parts of the map, it just seems like there is nothing to hide around and use to your advantage.
I hope some of the older great maps make it in too. Back to karkand and seig of shanghai would be perfect with the additions to the game.

I think it might be because Jack is on top of the tower. When you call in a vehicle on the ground it does take a while, far longer than shown in this video when Jack is on the roof of the tower. It looks like it doesn't parachute very far!

My fears on the specialist were realized in this beta;
At close range and CQC its hard to differentiate whos your allies and whos your enemies because both faction are using the same specialist...and when you have a mix of both friendly and enemies in front of you in CQC, it is very confusing as the friendly tags clog up your screen and the enemy tags dont show up

You can lower the opacity of friendly HUD elements - but don't do it so much that you can't see teammate icons, of course.

Also the fact that the aa takes fall dmg will blacence it out because they are in an easy kill spot and can't run.
My only issue is the 3rd person when meleeing an opponent. I want them to leave it in 1st person its so much cooler and more "Battlefield" to me. It's almost as if they just had to take something from COD. Apart from that the Beta looks great.
They're taking more than that from COD. I just got off the beta, Uninstalled immediately. Twitchy COD movement, sliding for 25 meters at a time, you get shot there's no suppression, just blank. Worse than BF3. Audio keeps clipping and does it through redeployment

A bit of funny FPS irony: the kriss vector is used in every modern shooter that hits the market but in real life it has no military contracts and is apparently unreliable, uncomfortable to use and as much recoil on semiauto as the MP5 equivalent.

2:43 I just loved the fact that now you can zoom in from the outside view of the vehicle, like in the heli or in the jets! This is waaaayyy better than the zoom in provided from the inside of the vehicle.
Being able to drop AA onto skyscrapers will be a whole Lotta fun for the tanks
I'm surprised to see seat switching still a thing in the attack helicopter. Think drone or auto pilot capabilities should probably be implemented for certain classes.or simply no switching mid air because it's very unrealistic.
The heli control looked so much easier for some reason. Notice how it moves significantly slower too even tho it’s the attack heli
Yeah I noticed that while playing the beta, somehow I'm in a lot more control in this game. So I'm guessing they went a but towards the slower side

Gameplay looks great, but I sort of really miss the very blunt, almost colloquial tone that you'd hear from the US infantry in BF3 and BF4. Shouting expletives, funny quips, screaming for help, and giving orders while buried in the chaos. In this game the voice lines sound slightly too dramatic and they're paced like movie dialogue. I really liked the natural sounding delivery of the lines in BF3 and BF4. They were okay with having voices crack and people stutter a bit from time to time because that's how people speak. There was something really believable about the guy next to you yelling "DUDE I CAN'T HEAR SHIT!" after a large explosion, or "Holy FUCK that was close!" Or "Awh, nice fuckin' shot man!" After a well placed shot. They sound like things marines would actually say. Not that real marines aren't professional, but c'mon. Go listen to the US infantry VO's from BF3. I really hope they put more autotriggers like that here. I also miss the guy over comms giving alerts like: "Be advised... Uhh, yeah there appears to be an enemy tank operating to your north, over." When others would spot enemy infantry and vehicles. Same thing goes for other languages. It made it feel more mil-sim than action film, and yet the spectacle and cinematic moments that happen naturally could still be on par with any great action movie. I hope to see them bring that energy to the full release. They're kind of trying to do it here, but it just doesn't hit quite the same. And I can imagine that it doesn't lend it's self to specialists all that well. I got so much immersion from those voice lines in BF3 and BF4. Even though you're just a nameless soldier fighting a battle surrounded by other nameless soldiers, it made the experience feel human. Hearing your allies constantly communicating also really helped reenforce the fact that you're all playing as a team. It was really cool to hear other soldiers making automatic reactive callouts with actual, usable information about the situation at hand rather than them just constantly yelling about what they're doing like in other games. (Generic callouts like "Reloading!", "Frag Out!", etc.) I seriously hope they flesh out the battle chatter for the full release, because it seems like we're getting a lot of the more generic stuff here and I'm not really getting that grounded vibe with this as much as previous titles.

The protagonists of this game world are not professional us navy seals. Iirc the lore states that these are people from every walk of life/mercenaries/normal people/rogue factions who banded together to fight for something. Dialogue seems about right for these kinds of people.

We went from BF1’s Iconic class system and appearances and BF4’s distinguished teams to this utter dumpster fire…
- No single-player mode - No server browser - No general, team, or player scoreboard, only your own squad is shown. - No general chat, only team, squad, and party - No VOIP - No TDM/FFA - No leaning/peeking out while in cover - No score bonuses for headshots, multikills, or hit-based damage XP gain - No persistent lobbies (back to the main menu after every match) - No ammo pickups off dead enemies/players' kits, only obtained through specialists... MANY MORE!!!
It would be really cool if the missles caused environmental destruction when diverted by flares

The kill and headshot sounds are not quite as satisfying as I’d hoped, but this gameplay is looking so sick. Excited to try!
If I'm not mistaken you can choose BF1 sounds in the options
sounds in general need to be fixed but the rest of the gameplay is so good

The sound design seems like a step down from previous Battlefield games. It's not spacey nor visceral.
The sounds are all very hollow and tinny, like all things, I hope its just because of the beta

It needs a little bit of polishing in some areas, but other than that it looks fairly solid

@@Uri0000 gameplay feels weird, kinda clunky I think, feels alot different from other battlefields, and not in a good way. And so far the gameplay isn't as fun, tho ima keep playing it and see if it grows on me.
Im gonna hope that the problems are cause its in beta, cause for me, it's not that good of a battlefield.

I don’t know if anyone else has seen this bug but when I go to change specialists there’s a whole bunch of other specialists, some even looked from battlefield friends
You were so lucky with the AI. Whenever I jumped in a heli or jet I'd get instantly shot down by every person in the lobby firing AA launchers lol...

The faceless goon thing is what made previous battlefields so immersive and sandbox at the same time

Looks quite cool, although that Heli looks to be flying a bit janky. From your video it seems like control in the heli is pretty direct, is it easier to fly than in BF4? Cause that's what I get from the clips
Other than specialists (which I don't like) some other issues for me are the sniping in general. I love the recon class and miss stuff like spotting, changing my distance parameters on my scope and that feedback system when I got a good hit on an enemy player. I'm hoping they will fix some of this stuff when they release the game but I'm losing a bit of hope now after playing it. Granted it's only a beta so hopefully they turn it around.
The attack chopper in this game makes you realise how brutally overpowered it was in BF4
