French is definitely the all around best I’ve heard so far, especially the scene with the little yellow toad. I laugh every time I hear the French VA say adorable. French dub for the win. Though I honestly think that German, Dutch or Latin Spanish fits Peach (Though I think Dutch is my favorite of the three) only because they fit more of Peach's sweet personality. I just really think they need to make Peach's voice way higher, but they might have it lower since she's actually more of a fighter in the movie than in the games.

I like Chris Pratt's Mario, he sounds different from the games and sounds more like they are differentiating the games from other media, like in the cartoons, the live action movie and show and that Mario PSA. Pratt is doing a fine job! :)

I feel like the issue is that since this is an American made movie they are going for "star power" so are trying to cast their voice rolls to Hollywood stars limiting the selection of voice options for each characters. So when these other countries have a better sounding Mario it's more than likely because they didn't have to focus on having some famous person do it they actually did a casting call from a large pool of actors and picked the best fit for the role.

I love the Japanese version! I'm pretty bias since one of my favourite Japanese actors voices Mario, buuuuuut, I also love French Mario! And a few others as well! They all did so well! (Accept for Chris Pratt)
What I find funny is that not only the French version is (imo) the overall best, but it releases sooner than at least the English version. (The first trailer showed them, and I compared them some time ago) Also, ngl, before I read who was voicing Peach, I thought it was Adeline Chetail that voiced her. (She's the French BotW Zelda voice actor for those who might not have known.)

Not gonna lie but before the trailer showing Peach I thought that French Zelda which I met her in 2021 & 2023 would’ve been the perfect voice fit for Peach just like Zelda but at least there’s Daruk’s French voice actor from Breath Of The Wild and Hyrule Warriors Age Of Calamity voicing Bowser in European French.
It's not because I'm Brazilian, but the Portuguese version is the best for me, it's like I'm really listening to the characters like in the games. Brazilian dubbing is considered one of the best in the world.
To me as a German, Peach's voice was actually the weakest in the dub bc when you watch the entire thing you can hear a slight accent in her earlier scenes that none of the other characters have (I'm not quite sure if it's regional or generational, the VA is about my age and many people my age have an accent like that), but the German dub is still really good overall and the accent does get a lot weaker at the end! Something I also noticed is that Peach's and Luigi's VAs are actually related- turns out they're niece and uncle. Doesn't surprise me at all, if you dive into the voice acting business in Germany a bit you see their family name come up pretty often, but it was still a fun discovery xD
I learnt that Peach’s German voice is the niece of Luigi’s German voice actor so she’s recently new to voice acting but I prefer her than English Peach from Anya Taylor-Joy.
All the voice sounds better in french to me. And I don't say that because I'm french ^^'. And the japanese one is killer. I'm gonna watch this movie at least twice, in french and in japanse for the touch of anime !
The 1st trailer only showed most of one part, though the 2nd trailer showed more lore about how it's gonna start and end, though for me since I know spanish, latin spanish has to be the best voicing

I think it's hilarious that pretty much every other language has generally better voice acting than English. In my opinion: Luigi is best in German Peach is best in Japanese Mario is best in French Bowser is flawless in pretty much all of the languages, but I'm leaning towards English because Jack Black is just amazing Now I just need an edited version of the film where each character speaks a different language so I can get the best of all these 😆

I like Chris Pratt's Mario, he sounds different from the games and sounds more like they are differentiating the games from other media, like in the cartoons, the live action movie and show and that Mario PSA. Pratt is doing a fine job! :)

I feel like the issue is that since this is an American made movie they are going for "star power" so are trying to cast their voice rolls to Hollywood stars limiting the selection of voice options for each characters. So when these other countries have a better sounding Mario it's more than likely because they didn't have to focus on having some famous person do it they actually did a casting call from a large pool of actors and picked the best fit for the role.

Not gonna lie but before the trailer showing Peach I thought that French Zelda which I met her in 2021 & 2023 would’ve been the perfect voice fit for Peach just like Zelda but at least there’s Daruk’s French voice actor from Breath Of The Wild and Hyrule Warriors Age Of Calamity voicing Bowser in European French.

It's not because I'm Brazilian, but the Portuguese version is the best for me, it's like I'm really listening to the characters like in the games. Brazilian dubbing is considered one of the best in the world.
in Latin Spanish before the "waju" Mario shouts a "Yeha" which is wonderful
To me as a German, Peach's voice was actually the weakest in the dub bc when you watch the entire thing you can hear a slight accent in her earlier scenes that none of the other characters have (I'm not quite sure if it's regional or generational, the VA is about my age and many people my age have an accent like that), but the German dub is still really good overall and the accent does get a lot weaker at the end! Something I also noticed is that Peach's and Luigi's VAs are actually related- turns out they're niece and uncle. Doesn't surprise me at all, if you dive into the voice acting business in Germany a bit you see their family name come up pretty often, but it was still a fun discovery xD
I learnt that Peach’s German voice is the niece of Luigi’s German voice actor so she’s recently new to voice acting but I prefer her than English Peach from Anya Taylor-Joy.

Luigi is best in German
Peach is best in Japanese
Mario is best in French
Bowser is flawless in pretty much all of the languages, but I'm leaning towards English because Jack Black is just amazing
