@@Syntheticoilprotection;) Well it's one you haven't done yet ;) I was hoping you could do a video on P.I. Improver speaking about if you only have a 13 gallon or 20 gallon tank , how much P.I. Improver should you put in. Some people i see online use half the bottle for 15 gallons of gas and drive out their gas so it gets lower and then use the next half of the bottle on the next fill up.
For me I always put the whole bottles in because if you try to save them you got to watch if you put them in your car they don't seal perfectly you can spill it it'll get everywhere and it'll wreck and smell horrible so it's not worth trying to get cute unless you're keeping it in your garage and you put it in your car and then store it somewhere safe even if it gets knocked over it won't leak then you can do half a bottle 😉😃🎬👍

My 15 does the clunk when you rapidly decelerate then get back on the gas. Amsoil recommends their ATF for Jeep ZF 9 Speed transmissions but not the Honda ZF 9 speed which I believe is almost the same exact transmission. Honda's fluid is 3.1 ATF. What gives?
Not sure what you mean I would double check the lookup guide and see if it's on the see all technical data bulletin for details if the specification is there you're good to go a lot of the companies change the specification by 10% and then they call it a new spec so it can't be cross-referenced and used by another company. For instance Amsoil has no recommendation for the gear lube for my synthetic oil protection machine cart play calls for a 75 W 80 gear oil but I run to 75 W 90 and it runs way better. Is there a video for a 2019 jeep renegade, 1.3 liter turbo transmission fluid change/flush/etc? I'm trying to do it myself and there's no dipstick and I can't find the cap to fill it either.
I have a 2017 Renegade, and I found out the clunking comes from when the trans goes into 5 gear and you take your foot off the gas as soon as it shifts, this, I found out is an inherant problem with the computer, this is a computer shifting problem. Feels like the rear end is turned on when you deccellerate, and you get the feeling like soneone hit you in the rear bumper. A problem they do not know and will not fix........everyone I talk to has this problem with the Renegade.
I respect your opinion yes if someone's new to doing mechanics they should definitely get a high quality torque wrench and be precise on specific things like spark plugs however most things that are just drain plugs as long as you're in the general ballpark there is very little risk so that's why I personally don't choose to I do have a good touch and have quite a bit of experience but if someone has poor touch or feeling in their hands I highly recommend a electronic Snap-on torque wrench💯😉👍 I give a man a fishing pole & show him how to fish. Great question It depends on the vehicle and the component some vehicles are a little bit hotter running and also they have less fluid capacity and their filter doesn't have the same magnets and filtration capability. Also it depends on the component in how many speeds it is some shift a lot more than others the more shifting each shift creates heat friction and also that wears out the lubricant. Every shift there's particles that come off the clutch packs and go into the fluid. If you're doing a lot of city driving the amount of shifting is about four times more so the fluid should be changed about twice as often. If you're doing all highway driving there's a lot less shifting happening so the fluid doesn't get as much heat and friction which means it doesn't thicken as much. So usually depending on the driving most transmissions you want to change your ETF fluid about every 30 to 60,000 mi if you live somewhere normal. Certain vehicles like CBT transmissions and other transmissions that are smaller that have a lot of heat and shift more you want to change them sooner than later so most CVTs you want to change at about 15,000 miles of city driving or 30,000 highway driving. Just depends on the equipment and the way it's being taken care of For instance a diesel truck that's driven on the highway without towing and not doing any city driving you're good for about a hundred thousand miles of highway driving with a diesel truck on one ATF fluid change. So there's a lot of variables that come in and you're always better off changing it earlier than later because of the price of the component and the loss of driveability and fuel mileage. I don't know why people say amsoil expensive. It's really less expensive than mobile #1 annual protection and all amsoil ATF cheaper than most brands out there specially much cheaper than OEM. And the great part about all amsoil lubes are great and last longer than anything else. Just want to mention other than amsoil signature series there's amsoil XL and Amsoil OE and them all are 100% synthetic and you can't beat the price of XL and OE they are cheap and work better than mobile #1 annual protection which I stopped using.
Thanks for sharing this with the channel You make a lot of great points especially as a preferred customer and looking at how much time it saves you by not choosing you to fluids it really saves thousands in the long run and when you look at not replacing your vehicle sooner than even becomes exponentially more like compound interest. Could be the slip yoke on the drive shaft I had that issue several times on my old Silverado depending on how you stop will make it clonk like that since her Jeep came from a wet climate and the fact that the mfg no longer put grease fittings on the u joints and slip yoke that would be a great place to start looking for the noise that Katy has
Great suggestion excellent I really appreciate that and that could be it yeah this car was really in a really salty area or something definitely has way too much corrosion on the exhaust for being such a new car

Everything I've read has said to use the overly expensive Mopar trans fluid, even the sites for mechanics that teach you how to build your own dipstick tool. Which has a different process then your that requires getting your trans fluid up to temp which is read through a diagnostic tool then measuring fluid levels. Plus two things that concern me about the amsoil atf fluid in my renegade are, the mixing of the 2 fluids seeing you'll never be able to get all the old fluid out, and the fine print when entering my vehicle into their site. This atf fluid comes up for my vehicle but the numbers they have for compatibility don't work for my vehicle. I'm at 120,000 miles right now and my trans fluid has never been changed. The shifting could be better but it's not horrible. You just changed this fluid 15gs ago and your already doing another? And she only has 50g? These units are sealed from factory and they say it's lifetime, but I know there's no oil that last forever. Not trying to crap on your work but everything I've researched,' extensively ' tells me otherwise. I'm going to try and contact some from amsoil to confirm their atf will work/ or not. Theres other people on here saying they have and were told it wouldn't, but I'd like to see for myself. Ps, thank you and great work on your videos

The ZF 9-speed used in the Jeep KL, Renegade, & pre-2023 Compass, and Honda, etc is known for random clunking shifts. The 2.4L TigerShark Multi-Air engine used in some Jeep models was known for excessive oil consumption. It was retired and replaced with a 1.3L Turbo in the Renegade and 2.0L Turbo in the Compass, and those historically have been much better engines. The 9 speed was retired and replaced with a ZF 8 speed. Much better powertrain.

Is there a video for a 2019 jeep renegade, 1.3 liter turbo transmission fluid change/flush/etc? I'm trying to do it myself and there's no dipstick and I can't find the cap to fill it either.
Thank you and Katy for the fallow up
I have a 2017 Renegade, and I found out the clunking comes from when the trans goes into 5 gear and you take your foot off the gas as soon as it shifts, this, I found out is an inherant problem with the computer, this is a computer shifting problem. Feels like the rear end is turned on when you deccellerate, and you get the feeling like soneone hit you in the rear bumper. A problem they do not know and will not fix........everyone I talk to has this problem with the Renegade.
Yikes I've never heard of this Gilbert but I hope you can find a technician that knows how to fix it👍
yup, I've had that issues on the 2020 jeep 1.3 turbo,Exactly what you said, It happens when I let go of the gas pedal too soon
11:54 please go buy a torque wrench and torque it to spec
I respect your opinion yes if someone's new to doing mechanics they should definitely get a high quality torque wrench and be precise on specific things like spark plugs however most things that are just drain plugs as long as you're in the general ballpark there is very little risk so that's why I personally don't choose to I do have a good touch and have quite a bit of experience but if someone has poor touch or feeling in their hands I highly recommend a electronic Snap-on torque wrench💯😉👍

Hopefully Katys Jeep will run longgggger and steeeeronger with the liquid cherry.
15k miles transmission oil drain and fill, why?

What happen with the oil consumption on the jeep renegade?
It still has something wrong with it there have been many recalls with the Jeeps

I always like to share the performance results!

Eben! Question, does Amsoil have a hydraulic fluid that would work with hydraulic floor jacks?
I believe so I would call text services and find out what they recommend.
I believe some can take ATF fluid.

Definitely let me know what they say I would also have the viscosity information for that jack ready that way they can look up what you need 😃🎬👍
If your trans is under warranty putting the wrong trans fluid in will void the warrenty.

Have you ever tried Amsoil Austin?
@@Syntheticoilprotection Yes sir! I use it for both my F150 and Boss 302. I also get it for my parents for their cars too!
Sweet💯👍😃

I want to see this engine make it over 100,000 miles. Without amsoil this would not be possible. This engine was a poor design
So she bought the car at thirty something thousand miles during the drive the odometer red fifty three thousand and this guy is changing the trans fluid again this guy is ripping you off and destroying your transmission what a joke this guy is that is a sealed transmission you do not need to change the oil.here is another fact those cvt transmission are not repairable when they go you replace them.
