    How do you work with a manufacturer while running a preorder? I’m new to starting a clothing brand and im looking for a manufacturer currently, what would I need to ask an tell them bc im not sure how much I’ll be ordering once the products drop on the website and are open for preorders.

      This is a really interesting question and it is something I have been thinking about. The main thing you will need to know from your manufacturer is the lead time so you know how long it will take for your customer to receive their purchase once they have made their purchase.
      Make sure you go through the sampling process first and ensure you are completely happy and ready to go straight to production before opening preorders. You can then do it 1 or 2 ways
      1. Open preorders for a week or 2. Once you close your preorders you can place the order with the manufacturer
      2. Have a limited stock on your website for preorders and place that order with your manufacturer. Open preorder halfway through production so say if the lead time is 4 weeks open it 2 weeks after production has started so that your customers are only waiting 2 to 3 weeks for their order.
      You will need to know the manufacturer's MOQ, lead time and payment terms.

    Hi Tadii, do you use an external inspection company? If so, what is your process for finding one that is impartial and credible? Also, what strategies do you use to prevent your manufacturer from sharing your design with other clients?

    • @TadiiG
      @TadiiG  Год назад +1

      Hey, so for my clothing brand the agent I work when inspects the garments herself before sending them to me. She is the one who found the manufacturer that we work with. In terms of preventing a manufacturer from sharing your design, which mind you, isn't something you should worry about tooo too much. I send them an NDA to sign. xx
