- Disclaimer:
Some of these files might not actually be unused, but I'm much more confident this time around compared to when I did the Unused Voice Clip videos for the base game, since I had my own gameplay footage to review to double check things.
Huge shout out to the Xenoblade Github for their Audio Mapping Chart. It's been a game changer. Now I no longer have to guess which actions specific sound files are used for.

And shout out to doremi137 for her spreadsheet for helping sort out the fev and cq (text box) cutscene voice files

While I'm still planning on finishing up the rest of the base game's voice clips, I'm feeling super burnt out after only doing XC3 stuff for so long. So, I'm going to be switching over to doing voice clip videos for XC2 (just bosses/NPCs and DLC stuff that hasn't been uploaded to RUclips or Sounds Resource already) and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (which I can blaze through much faster because the files are already organized). After that I'll switch back to finishing up the remaining XC3 stuff (which is mostly NPCs), then I'll do XC1:DE. Then later down the line I might do Japanese XC3 voice clips.
Looking forward to hearing the XC2 voice lines!
1:28I’ve heard Mathew say “better give this one a wide birth” on a unique monster
I've heard Shulk also say "It seems a cut above" for a unique monster...
0:13 Clever use of Ontos's memory space. Shoulda been used!
Glimmer and Rex have near-identical voice lines for Smash 🥺💜
True!! That was definitely intentional.
With all of them being able to do all of the reaction combos (break, topple, etc.) it makes me think that it was planned for them to be able to change classes and get more arts.
Or more likely that they voice a line for every reaction in case the art effects are unfinished at that point so they don’t know which character will have access to each combo
Glimmer: "On the floor!"
Rex: "Get on the floor!"
Like father, like daughter. 🥲
5:05 When BK_Barnz uploads
I love Na’el’s TOPPLLLLLEEE!!!
I swear I’ve heard some of those enemy targeting lines in game lol. Probably when targeting a unique/high level enemy with a much lower party level
I don’t know about the voice clip, but Matthew can inflict launch by fusing Raging Force and Revolt Uppercut. Sorry if that ruins everything… 😅
Also I’ve definitely heard Nikol’s knockback and Shulk’s blowdown clips in game before
You're correct. I didn't think to check the Fusion Arts. Luckily I can clip those out without having to reupload the video.
2:57 So you're seriously telling me that Na'el was once planned to be a playable character, but they scrapped the idea?? WHY??????
Mwamba has a Chain Order too.
Each hero character, even Ino and Masha, has a Chain Attack Start line despite the fact the devs would've known you wouldn't be playing as them. Unless they're doing some big update when the Pyra/Mythra or Noah and Mio amiibos drop. But I wouldn't put my hopes on anything.
@@Sherkel yeah, and more which is incredibly dissapointing. It seems like they had tons of ideas for things to add to the game, especially in terms of heroes, but they just never added them, for some stupid reason...
@@MrBarnabasB i would pray for that, but i kinda doubt it too...
You can play as Na'el if you finish the DLC stories BTW.. The weird one is the tutorial one.. and maybe they planned the party to be reunited right away and changed something middle way to make it like they recruit them one by one..
for some reason the agnus soldiers yelling reminds me of that one cutscene where lanz and sena are working out lmao
Shulk might have been able to keep aggro if he could do these arts....
So it wasn't just me. Nikol definitely took at least 80% of the total aggro
...interesting how daze is in the code yet it is not available in the game.
Makes me wonder if it was supposed to substitute blowdown
I mean, it has to be in the code because the game is very tightly linked to XC3, just like how Torna was linked to 2. And I presume these voicelines were just recorded before it was decided that they were not going to use it.
the targeting lines play when targeting superbosses (I think)
I've targeted the superbosses and it just plays the standard "Target Enemy (Party Underleveled)" lines. Oh you know what? That might be why. I never grinded to get myself to be the same level as one of the superbosses to see if the line changes.
*Shulk smash*
I know BlunZ won the fight with N in the City so some of these may be possible funnily enough.
I just checked his stream. While he did technically win the fight, the game immediately transitioned to cutscene before N's health actually dropped to 0.
@@MrBarnabasB Oh dang, nice catch!
I didn't watch the stream, but it must have been coincidence. Your own HP is the only trigger as far as I can tell, I won the fight easily on first playthrough and N's HP is capped at the last sliver of health similar to how several enemies in Xenoblade 1 are capped at 50% so you just wait until he brings you low enough at that point.
