My favourite winter wear is wool baselayers, both long- and shortsleeved tops as well as leggins. They allow me to wear more of my wardrobe throughout the year, because I can layer them beneath warmer weather clothes.
And when it is very cold they help a lot with staying warm, more thin layers warm better than a few thick ones.

You are right about temperature peculiarities. I am going through menopause and live in a very mild climate. Thus, I am thinking that I don't need sweaters. But it is hard to let go of my warmer items, as I grew up in a very cold climate.

Yes wool, wool, pure wool. Even as underwear, even in the night, ... all Berlin winter long. your collection is awesome!
To help with the wool itching, I soak the knitted item in cool water with hair conditioner for about 20 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly and block to dry. Love all your hand knits!!

@@handlemoniumif you have pretty sensitive contact dermatitis than be careful with wool, i would say! I can‘t wear it. It is the lanolin from which i get eczema. I only use vegan wool…

I love your wardrobe and I think you really hit on a color palette that works gorgeously with your complexion and hair. You seem a winter type (that trendy color analysis so big on IG/YT). I really do think there is something to it, as I personally look terrible in oranges, yellows as I am cool toned in hair and skin. My winter staple is a pair of Columbia brand Omni-guard thermal pants. We spend alot time outdoors in the winter and these can take the cold, wet, snow. Not terrible stylish, but oh so warm! I also have two pair of wool/poly leggings that I layer under my staple heavy linen dress and wool skirt. and I live in a thrifted oversized fisherman style, aran wool mens cardigan. The young whippersnappers would call it a grandpa sweater. Again, not terribly stylish but I LOVE it! We keep our house at 62F/16F and I can pull this sweater over several base layers and be cozy, plus it has two pockets!
I've been into color analysis too! Of course I did it by myself using photos, color swatches etc and I must admit, it helped me a lot to finally determine my best colors. Oranges and yellows make me disappear 😁Warmth is the most imprtant quality to llok for in a colder climate, that's true!

I often dont think of dresses in the cold months, however you open me to ways to wear in winter. Secondly, they look very nice and comfortable. Thanks 😊 ❤ Lastly, your chic and homemade items and ways of putting together things is nice to see. Also great way to set gpod intentions and prep for the season. ❄️ ❤❤

That was delightful Ana! I agree that wool trumps cotton any day. For me, keeping my feet warm and dry is critical. I discovered a brand of socks made with 70% merino wool, a fantastic fabric. It feels smooth like silk, does not itch at all, and magically holds heat in while wicking away moisture. I love the brand name too..."woolie boolie" 😃 I also found a long sleeve base layer top, also using merino wool and I love it.
I wear half finger gloves, similar to your beautiful white gloves and I wear them indoors and out. Your oversized red sweater, with the extra long sleeves, looks like it will keep your hands warm without gloves! That's a great idea.

My daughter just got me a beanie with a rechargeable light in it I love it! I wear it when I am outside at night putting my chickens to bed and can use it to walk my dogs
I live in the Midwest USA, winter for me is leggings, thicker jeans, long sleeve t shirts under flannel shirts and soft, brightly colored sweaters. I too love bright colors to wear in winter to get me through the cold gray season ❤

PS i agree wool can be really one of best ways to go with cold, i have some older wool socks i love and maybe on last season. But try best to always to always macjine wash on gentlest cycle and air dry so they dont shrink.

I love the hearts on the gloves! For me, a winter staple is the hooded linen coat that my mom made for me a few years ago. It has two layers of linen and can be quite warm.

It's nothing special really: I use micellar water for cleansing and just one cream (calendula by Yves Rocher or Lipikar by La Roche Posay). Plus face massage every day. And that's all 😊

Your wardrobe & style videos are my favorites of all your themes! I've been wearing light wool harem pants over dresses with riding boots a lot so far this cold season. All in black! Also never without my black faux lamb fur hat that I made myself many years ago. I get compliments on it every time I leave the house! My goal is to make many more things to wear this year.

I just bought a second-hand, 100% wool sweater this year in a bright red-orange color. It's super lightweight and breathable but also one of the warmest things I own. Can already see it becoming one of my staples for years to come! Lovely video as always Ana

Oh I loved that Cardigan! the vest is great too! The shirt is my style ;). I go 100% cotton, I can do that where I live, 4 seasons, winter will snow and get cold, rains alot still I can layer my upper body AND be ok.
