Why not just cut an hdmi cord and a usb cord, open the usb housing to reveal the pins. Find negative + positive on the usb the rest are data pins, use "pin headers" and proper gauge wire and colour code (if need be) plug and play ..

i cut up so many usb type c cable but all of them had 2 wires only!
They are too cheap! Use one that has data cables ( one you can use that you can connect to your PC and get detected
That's charger cable, you need data cable
Use pin headers and proper gauge wire same thing ..
They are not data cables only charging. The one that came with your new phone should be a data cable. Find a cheap charging cable before you cut your good one. I am still looking for that transistor before I can continue.
