fun fact my dad used to work for the company between 98 through 2005 and my dad told me that the boys AkA the wrestlers would watch The Rock on the monitors backstage .. he had a lot of respect in the locker room I was there at the show you guys have no idea how hype and lit everybody was this was the best times man I miss my youth
The Rock was truly a special talent in WWF/WWE. He could go from face to heel or vice-versa in the same promo if he wanted to - that’s how versatile he was on the mic and with his gimmick. I remember during his last active run in the first third or so of 2003, when he initially came back and gave a promo via satellite about his match with Hogan at _No Way Out_ he got a huge pop from the crowd and slowly the heel side came out during that promo and by the end he had them practically booing him out of the building.
A fact about the second bit with Rock, Kane, and Benoit - that bit that Rock talked about was all improvised. When Rock made those comments, Benoit was legitimately pissed off at him, and decided to wait backstage to confront him. However, Vince was also backstage, so he went to Benoit and threatened to fire him if he got physical with Rock.
Hey Samraq, you, Zara and Jeneva should check out "The Monday Night War". It's a 20 ep. docu-series that talks about the war between WWE vs WCW and it breaks down the many parts and people that were involved like, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, nWo, D-Generation X, etc.
You guys should react to other WWE videos. If you want to know the history of WWE, there are videos of that as well. The first episode of Monday Night Raw, which has been their main show for the last 30 years aired in 1993. They had other shows before then but Raw became the main show of the company when it first aired.
