If you approach the car with the fob and press the button on the door, nothing happens so you then have to use the remote. If you then close the door and walk away nothing happens so again you have to use the remote. It is only after the engine has been running that the keyless system really works. Sounds silly I know, but it is true.
I love Renault. It's the most designed French car so far. The only problem with all the Renaults I've ever tried is that the view is too narrow. The seats are too high. And I am 1,77 tall so you can imagine how hard it is to drive a Renault comfortably if you are 1,80 or above. I need the front view of *Citröen Grand Picasso* on a *Renault*
Hi Jennie, automatic folding door mirrors are a standard feature on the top of the range GT Line model which starts from £18,730. It also includes the R-Link multimedia and satellite navigation system, and you can see the other features it has in our brochure here bit.ly/2VtJZYM How about taking it for a test drive? bit.ly/1H4Fn94 Let us know what you think of it!
Hi Nevin, after unlocking your car using the buttons on the keycard, the “hands-free” locking and unlocking is deactivated. The hands-free mode will be reactivated once the car is restarted. You can find out more in section 1.6 of the CAPTUR handbook here bit.ly/2u3CPKF If you need any further assistance, your Renault dealer is always happy to help and you can locate your nearest one here bit.ly/1UUOWzC Let us know how you get on!
The auto locking system doesn't work if you open the door pressing the keypad, the car does not lock when you walk away, so be careful. badly designed if you ask me. You will need to press the keypad to lock the car. This is a nuisance if you get used to using the auto lock. I have walked away from the car a few times and it hasn't locked.
You can always tell if it doesn't work because it doesn't make a noise when you walk away. I find the keyless entry and lock function only works correctly if the engine has been running. In the event of going to the car just to take something out for example and then walking away, it just doesn't work. Bonkers.
Why would anyone think this is a good advert? Seriously these info adverts are so bad I actually felt compelled to write this comment telling you how bad it is... It feels cheap and actually puts me off Renaults as a whole. Seriously who in Brand Communication thought this was a good idea?
Thanks for the info on keyless entry. Now I understand how it works.
