Hi Gaz, do you need to test both sockets on this one, or doesn't it matter?
Thanks for your videos guys. I had to do my test and inspect course online due to covid a month ago and only now (tomorrow 😟) able to do the tests. I felt a little under prepared till I found your page. Thank you
How did it go?

I have been following all your videos. They are more easily understood than in the textbook. You have and show enthusiasm and passion for what you do and I see that you want your young learners to understand and be able to logically think through for themselves what they are doing. You also have a father figure for them.I am a lady interested in electrics. But I have observed that there area not many out there.Where is your college located .Do you have adult learning programme on electricity?
Keep up the excellent work. The electrics do really flow through you.
Nice demo
Nice video reminder been a long while since I have done it lol

@@GSHElectrical Thanks Gaz for answering, as always 😊
Can you please explain the relevance of testing at different position of the sine wave? I think you mentioned testing at zero and 180 degrees.

Hope this helps Gaz 👍
GSH Electrical - much appreciated.
Cheers for asking the exact question running through my head.
This video is now technically redundant, being as it’s 4 years old , if we go by Amendment 2 , that is , but it is still an informative and interesting video, personally I will continue to test RCDs at 1/2 ,1and 5 times the rated current.
Fantastic video Gas👍👍❤️
what reg has changed to make this redundant?
@@jeffpark4136 amendment 2 now only require that we test 30ma RCD/RCBO at 1x it’s rated current once on the 0d and once on the 180d and with the MFT set for AC type RCDs..
But we can still do all the tests ie 1/2x 1x and 5x AC type and A type if we choose to we are just not required to.
the bang at 1:42 threw me off
🙏💪🏼
can you quote the regulation for this?
