Its a shame they don't drag off the NPC's like they would with Sam. Imagine just strolling around when suddenly the entire play-field starts turning into tar and in the center of it all you see a NPC trying to flee from a huge BT. Giving you a chance to still save them by distracting/fighting the big BT. (as well as seeing this phenomenon from a third party perspective for once)

This was awesome! I wish you'd been closer so we could have seen exactly what that poor MULE experienced. I feel sad for the bloke, honestly. Unlike terrorists, the MULES don't harm Sam at all aside from a shock. They just want his cargo. They're basically innocent ex Porters who love cargo. Still 😂😂😂 i would have loved to see how this poor mule reacted to a BT coming at him. 😅
Yeah, I thought of that. Did another vid and pinged the tent right before interaction. From the outline, it doesn't look like anything actually happens except game over. ruclips.net/video/w2l6ERUXIt4/видео.html
Interesting. From the first Mule encounter cutscene I thought Mules would avoid time fall at all cost. I think it's an oversight that they didn't program the mules AI to automatically leave the area once the time fall comes. Perhaps that's the whole point of getting mules captured and cause a void out. 😂 Still, it would be interesting to see Mules get terrified in the game and leave a time fall area once a body turns into a BT.
Not at all costs. I have another vid where the MULEs are all in the tents except a couple I knocked out. After awhile, they realize the other two are missing and four of them run out as a rescue party. When they get revived, everyone runs back to the tent.
this is pretty cool... so will the voidout area be the same as the MULE camp's area? if so, then it is different from when you yourself cause a voidout because you get dragged to a specific location by the BTs. And if yes, will the MULEs die for good in that voidout area?
The idea is that an npc’s void out is so large it destroys the entire map, but since sam is a repatriate his craters are a lot smaller since much of the energy gets lost to the beach
I don't think so, but eventually the mules respawn so when that happens there would be a voidout. The tents are far enough from the path of the local porters, they would not interact with the BTs.
4 Months late but I'll go ahead and give a detailed reply. So in death stranding everything has two sides it is either anti matter or matter all of which are linked to the other side, the land of the dead. A gazer is the humanoid BTs a catcher is a BT with a antimatter core. A voidout is caused when a BT severs the cord to the other side and comes in contact with the matter ( the living human ). However Sam is a repatriate, they have a stronger connection to the other side and a gazer is not strong enough to sever the connection to trigger a voidout. So the BT takes the repatriate to a catcher, the core of the catcher is able to sever the connection of a repatriate and trigger a voidout. The stronger connection to the other side of a repatriate results in a small voidout because most of the energy gets directed to the beach which is their own personal concept of death, it is the area that exists for them which sits between life and death. Conversely this means that a large voidout is triggered by anyone who is not a repatriate who has their connection to death severed by a BT because not as much energy gets redirected to their beach. So in the event there is no more living mules, there will be no void out.
@@nadaibnukautsarpratama6663 so that isn’t a typical visit to the Seam. When you enter Sam’s body, the game tells you to pick a save file, which it loads and tells you the body has been removed from the world. So it is pretty much a game over scenario. I am guessing you will die anywhere on map when it happens anywhere a void out will cause a game over.
@@McSquank Actually i accidentally caused a VOIDOUT in the deep forest area before you get to the Wind Farm and I returned to see a huge creator, with all the trees wiped out. If it’s a void out from an npc you are forced to reload a previous save, only void outs caused by Sam getting eaten leave a crater that lasts 30min
