    Such infinite love our Lord has for us! The agony that He went through because of His love. It goes beyond my limited imagining.

    I have one thing to say..........Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Well three things. This impacted me like Mel Gibson's, "The Passion of the Christ". It showed the Judean/Roman culture and how they viewed their world which by the was a brutal world that was excessive, and cruel. Excessive in that you were either really rich or really poor.😊

    Let no one believe that Christ's life was taken FROM Him. He could NOT be killed. He and HE alone chose to give up His life. HE surrendered His Spirit to His Father.

      The scourging and crucifixion put Him in position to die. He could not die until everything was completed. When all had been completed, He requested the vinegar for rinsing His mouth and throat so He could speak. He then announced “ it is finished “ , stopped pushing Himself up to breathe, and died of suffocation like a crucifixion victim was supposed to.

    Hi! Love the show! I wanted to comment on here b/c you said Jesus was crucified on a Friday, however many scholars have come to reason that he more likely died on a Weds afternoon or Thursday morning bc in Matt 12:40, Jesus was in the ground 3 days and 3 nights. He couldn’t have died on Friday. Just thought you should consider updating your video! 😊🫶

    The disciples heard what Jesus said, they knew him well and ended up dying for their faith. Only Apostle John lived. The rest died martyrs deaths. They were all convinced that Jesus did die by crucifixion and rose again on the third day. The sudden explosion of Christianity is solid evidence that the Gospel accounts are indeed, legit! Before a word of the Bible was written, Christianity was born. Why? Hundreds saw the reserected Jesus Christ and the message spread like wild fire around the world. To this day Jesus is changing lives, even in places like Gaza, China and Iran. Please give it some more thought ♥️

    If Jesus went to hell, why did he tell one of the thieves on the cross next to him "today you will be with me in paradise?"

    • @jaypenha5352
      @jaypenha5352 7 месяцев назад +2

      read the scriptures. Paul and Peter talk about it in the other new testament books of the bible. Jesus went to hell to proclaim his victory to the devil. The criminal would be with jesus in heaven that day. Think of it like a pit stop on the way. The thief would not tag along with jesus as He went to hell, the thief was probably waiting for Him to meet him there in paradise. That is a great question to ask my pastor actually.

      WHAT does the BIBLE SAY Jesus did while he was (temporarily) in he'll? What was His PURPOSE for descending there? N.B. God ALWAYS has a PURPOSE. HINT: ALL answers to questions in this reply are found ...... in your BIBLE. Please 🙏 pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance BEFORE you read.😊

    I had to hit the thumbs down on this one. Jesus descended into hell literally (Sheol) and brought back those who dwelled in the place of comfort Abraham's bosom.

    You're talking about history when you don't read in Deuteronomy 21 where does mention the crucifixion a man hung on the tree until sundown it's also on Galatians chapter 3 with Paul quotes from Deuteronomy where God makes that command so I don't know where you get your story from

    I thought that the wine was actually mixed with a certain medicine to kind of dull the pain of a victim slightly. That does make sense that a roman soldier would have some of thier own stash of wine. It takes a certain type of person to do that to a human being who is probably screaming and crying to his mother or father while they are being nailed to the wood. Its absolutely horrible to do this to a human being, especially if that criminal did not do anything to you personally. You are just a soldier following orders and carrying out the duty. Yuck. I have been in the Army, and i have had my fair share of crappy duties. They call them "details". Any menial task that officers and sergeants don't want to personally do and they order lower ranking guys like myself to carry it out. However........to order soldiers to do this to a human being, I could see why even roman occupying soldiers would want to be drunk while doing this. I can only imagine the PTSD of whatever squad had thier turn with crucifixion duty that week. I never really thought about the soldiers who had to do it. Biblical movies always show Roman soldiers disgustingly enjoying this terrible task. I also have read that the Roman garrison in Jerusalem were soldiers drafted from Thrace and some of those other slavic eastern european roman provinces. Thracian's were notorious for their brutality, which is probably why they made good gladiators (spartacus) and torturers.
