Thank you for tuning to one of the most difficult SW catches, Andre! Radio Wai FM broadcasts in three languages: Iban, Bidayuh/Kayan and standard Malay. I'm not sure which FM station feed the shortwave station relays as I've heard all three dialects spoken at different times of the day. 🙂 The Kajang transmitter operates at 100 kW, according to one DX'ing blog and its antenna azimuth is 93 degrees.
@@swlistening Ah, it's just a drop in the ocean, bru, no worries! 🙂 I doubt that could buy you a nice hot cup of latte in downtown Jo'zi but I figure if all of your subscribers donated $1 each to your channel, you'd have the ATS-25 Max Decoder, Malahit DSP-2, Tecsun PL-330, 660 and 990 with enough change to buy a year's supply of FreshPak rooibos tea bags! 😀 🍵
Andre always great to hear your DX section from your new “Q” radio. Now if you could only travel as fast as your radio…what a travel agency that I use…😂! 73! Have a great day!
That would be a great travel agency. Not only fast but worth only the price of the radio! And you can visit lots of places that you could never really afford to visit!
That would have been wonderful, I always wish I could travel more. Imagine visiting places like Brazil or North Korea as easily as catching their radio stations :-)
İ was able to pick up KBCS Radio North Korea from the Netherlands. On 11635 kHz SW with my Qodosen SR-286 on my Deshibo GA-450 active loop antenna! 73's from Holland!
That's a great catch! North Korea is always fun to catch, whenever I DX I always look for North Korea :-) I don't always get it on my other radios though, but the Qodosen seems to find it every night now, sometimes weak, sometimes stronger.
My dear friend, thank you for this video. The sound coming from the Muslim country of Malaysia is the sound of the Qur’an being read.To perform the morning prayer.
Nice DX But I receive the R Nacional Amazonia rather well here because I think it’s the way the antennae are beamed. Nonetheless it’s all still very amazing receiving stations from so very far!
@@swlisteningEastern Europe... No chance - without a sophisticated antenna (~discone antenna) I can only receive a few US (East Coast) stations and not a single LATAM station.
@@swlistening Thanks for your optimistic mindset 🤗 - of course, one day I'll be done with all the sloppy DIY antennas, and get the best antenna in its class! 👍
@@pregabalin-fix I also wish I had some better antennas, my 10 metre wire and the MLA30 work nicely. But on the Qodosen especially I can hear many signals that just about want to come through, just not strong enough. I am sure a better antenna will help for that.

Thank you so much for the super thanks! I always enjoy catching this one, because it is a little bit unusual, not a regular catch.

@RJDA.Dakota Radio travel is a perfect substitute for the real thing!

Thank you! Amazonia is a station that I always look for, sometimes I hear it quite nicely, but mostly it is rather weak here on my side.
I will try and get one of these at some point. Would be interesting to compare to my Sony ICF-2001D
Will be interesting to see if the Brazilian signals reach that far up north!
@@swlistening I’ve heard Amazonia here there’s a video on my channel but it was with the Kenwood.
Amazing results! ✨ Wish I could receive Rádio Nacional da Amazônia...
Thanks! Where are you based?
