I'm so glad you guys were able to save the whale shark. At least he was willing to let the shark go for so cheap lol. The only time I've ever been in the water with whale sharks was when I went diving in the Georgia Aquarium, but I've always wanted to see them in the wild. They're such majestic animals
Hey Jonathan, could you tell your stories on the Oarfish and snorkeling with sharks from your website? I think they would be very interesting and it would be fun to see some additional info on them
That baby whale shark is the cutest marine animal EVER!!! Wonderful story. Whale Sharks are probably my favorite animal of all time. So glad the story had a happy ending. Blessings!
Dove with them almost 6 years ago around Gorontalo, Sulawesi. Jonathan's right, Philipines, Celebes (Sulawesi) and around those two areas are the place where fishermans found them the most. But what I've heard these last two years of pandemic, those gentle giants are become very rare to see. Hope they're doing allright.
Jonathan, great story. I also loved your video on the Whale Sharks of Oslob. A few years back, I was actually the commenter who informed your team about them. I still believe that the best way to protect these animals is to incentivize the locals. If they earn more from keeping the animals alive then they will protect them. There's no conservation if the locals are poor and hungry. Thank you for making those videos. Sending love from the Philippines!
Aww you do have a sweet spot. Zack's been spreading rumors about you, not really, but I would of loved to seen your reaction right now... as you read this message......... lol....... Have a great day & be safe on the water, Chris from Missouri A.K.A. ZACKIE...................
I loved it. When you said "Quatro Cantos" I got the meaning imediately, because I'm brazilian and this is exactly the way we write it in portuguese. But I think that in this place (Phillipines), this sentence comes from spanish (spanish and portuguese are very similar). Thanks for sharing one more video. I just love all of them.
Dude, rescuing a baby whale shark is probably the coolest bar room story you can ever hope for. Whatever story some other guy has, you can counter with "there was this one time I rescued a baby whale shark". You win!
Nice story, I hope the German tourist see's this video one day so he can see that he did something great and the shark is still swimming around today thanks to them.
Hey Jonathan are whale sharks fished for shark fin soup? And also do u think that Australia will be the last place in the world for Southern Blue fin tuna, because they are protected under strict laws there
They are fished for fins, but not because the fins are really used for soup, just because the huge fins make great bragging rights in the shops that sell fins.
Whale sharks are so cute 😁 cant wait to see one
We want more stories like this! Thanks for sharing :)
More to come!

In Panama, I was diving when a whale shark came by. All the snorkelers saw it while us poor divers did not lol
That's doesn't seem fair!

Wow, the life of an exotic endangered animal is worth like 2€...
To some people.
Jonathan I loved your Quadro Kantos story! It's just as great as your diving adventures. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing story, whale sharks are such gentle, noble creatures
I’m just super amazed he could identify the shark by the dot pattern, that’s crazy
Awesome examples of what can be done instead. I love ummm what's his/her name.....you know, that whale shark😄. Whale sharks are beautiful!🧡
Amazing story! I would love to see a whale shark myself this year.

It was Mickey mouse. 🤣
@@BlueWorldplus Good choice! :-)
Where can we find all your film's??
Secrets of the Reef was on Amazon for a while. But the distributor went out of business. I'll have to get it back up there.
It will be wonderful if we get all your film's and videos at one place. Even if it's paid
