SC Argument: 6 wins straight to close out the year including 4 teams that are or were ranked. The losses were competitive with exception of the ole miss game in which they were game scripted out of it. The LSU game, Sellers got injured with they were cruising up 2 possessions in the first half + the officiating directly took away a score within 2 minutes that would have led to a SC win. SC had an opportunity to beat bama at home on the last play. Bama and ole miss have much worse losses although they both have the best win (against Georgia). Head to head should matter but the committee stated only for comparable teams and right now bama and ole miss are inconsistent, decent teams. SC has played and won consistently against better competition in the back half of the schedule.
Counter Argument: SC lost to a team that lost to Vandy and got blown out by OU. They got blown out by a team who lost to UK. Bama and Ole Miss having bad losses doesn't make SC look better since they LOST to both of them. It's ridiculous to try justifying putting SC over two teams who beat them and have the same record.
@IEmulateGames thats a bad argument to have. For example, with that rationale, if smu loses they should be out bc they lost to byu who lost to kansas. Transitive property should be kept in math and away from football bc the teams evolve and change over the season. The SC that lost to Ole Miss/Bama would likely beat them today if they played. The games matter but your performance in the game and every game matters more
Ole Miss have the best resume of 3 loss team. This is a good argument. Ole Miss beat South Carolina 24 pts on road. Ole Miss beat Georgia 18 pts on home. Ole Miss beat Georgia humiliated Clemson 34-3 that South Carolina barely beat them. Ole Miss beat South Carolina and Georgia far better than Alabama did. Ole Miss does not have a blowout loss that Alabama and South Carolina have. South Carolina couldn’t get touchdown against Ole Miss. Alabama couldn’t get a touchdown against Oklahoma that Ole Miss beat them by double digits. Ole Miss’s losses is 13 points combined. South Carolina and Alabama have way more than Ole Miss have.
How do you have SMU in the bracket at 3 as a conference Champ, then Miami in the bracket at 12 as a conference champ? They are both in the ACC. In this scenario the Big 12 conference champ would be at 12 and Miami would be placed somewhere else depending on their rank. Basically, in this scenario Miami and Arizona State would be swapped.
Alabama has the worst losses two .500 teams in vandy and Oklahoma who only could be Auburn. There only big win was a comeback after blowing a huge lead to UGA at home. These talking heads make no sense, on one hand they say the season is over and if your top 12 your in but then at the same time a conference loss you could be out
Bama lost to OU 3:21. Let that sink in.
24-3 actually! And lost to Vandy
@@JamesBarnes-bb7iland guess who beat both of those teams
And by 21
Assistant Director Skinner has a side gig. Who knew?
SC Argument:
6 wins straight to close out the year including 4 teams that are or were ranked.
Counter Argument:
SC lost to a team that lost to Vandy and got blown out by OU.
The games matter but your performance in the game and every game matters more
@@IEmulateGamesit was an away game by 2 points.
But yet Lane kiffin failed to mention that sellers and rocket sanders were both injured
Basically, in this scenario Miami and Arizona State would be swapped.
sec and committee should be investigated.pro style playoff system is needed.no more committee or computer crap.
Alabama has the worst losses two .500 teams in vandy and Oklahoma who only could be Auburn. There only big win was a comeback after blowing a huge lead to UGA at home. What other wins do they have Missouri and LSU who are mid tier this year at best. They lost to the only other good team they played in Tennessee. Their non conference schedule was a joke. But we have to let them in its Alabama....
SC Bandwagon 🎉🎉
Ohio State > Penn St
Miami = best qb in cfb with the best offense. No team could put them away - always within one score . They deserve a chamce .
The committee will PROVE thier Bias tonight when OSU does not drop 9 spots like GA did!
Ole miss lost to Kentucky. They don’t belong in.
Half of B10 do not have a winning record, but 3 of top 4? If Committee refuses to state what is needed?? WHY?? Then they must GO! SEC Championship Playoff $20M NIL each school BONUS no Committee!! The Committee will PROVE thier Bias tonight when OSU does not drop 9 spotslike GA did. Must be a standard!
*I want to see Colorado play Miami, Alabama, Clemson, Syracuse or TX A&M in a bowl game.*
A free win for those teams
They deserve bowls not the playoffs.
And M lost to my longhorns last week
South Carolina beats Clemson at Clemson but goes up one spot?
None of those 3 loss SEC teams should get in. If Clemson wins they’re in and so is 11-2 SMU
Will only hold true if Clemson loses the ACC championship. SMU should make it, win or lose, but if Clemson wins, it takes away a spot from a bubble team
This is not the 4-team CFP. This is the 12-team CFP and the conference championship games will play a HUGE role in the final rankings. Yes, there will be movement. Dennis Dodd is clueless.
We don't know that. The committee has openly stated they do not plan to penalize teams for losing their championship games. We'll see.
1. Oregon
2. Texas
3. Penn State
4. ND
5. UGA
6. Tennessee
7. SMU
8. Ohio State
9. IU
10. Bois State
11. Alabama
12. Ole miss
13. South Carolina
14. ASU
15. ISU
16. BYU
17. Miami
SC should get in if clemson loses. If clemson wins then neither of the 3 will get in.
SC don't have H2H against Alabama or Ole Miss
They are like +5000 to get in at the sports book. They not getting in
I didn't know they were allowed to complain like babies on tweeter x lol. Its simple, you all laid eggs 3 losses?? Nahh your out
South Carolina deserves to be in over Alabama. This is coming from a Texas fan
Should be 3 sec, 3 big 10 and 2 big 12…ASU had a loss against Cincinnati away, which was close and they did not have their starting qb due to injury so could easily be 11-1….Iowa st and BYU all 10-2…SMU’s loss was against BYU
Then penalizing teams that lose CCGs even tho some teams totally dodge CCGs. Really annoying lol.
They've said they won't do that. No point being annoyed by something that hasn't happened yet.
Just like UGA last year.
@ boise loses their ccg they’re out lol
When indiana is clapped in the first round it’s going to be a serious wake up call for how rankings are done moving forward.
In a 12 team playoff, several games will be blowouts. There are 3-4 really good teams each year and the rest are just pretenders.
You totally make no sense.
Why should the Sec not get four teams in. By far the best conference in the NCAA get punished for playing each other
Georgia Tech damn near beat Georgia, the days of the SEC dominating are over, it's just happening way quicker than we thought it would. Losing three games and not qualifying for your championship game and still thinking you should be in the playoff is ludicrous.
I think it would be different if all the top SEC teams lost to eachother, but bama lost to vandy and Oklahoma. Ole miss lost to Florida and lsu, etc.
How are they the best when their playoff contender lost to Vanderbilt, a nerd school, and Oklahoma, a trash team.
Tennessee at Ohio State would be outstanding! An SEC traveling North for a change! Wow! Go Bucks👍😎
@@t-smitty True plus don’t forget Georgia State beat Vanderbilt when Alabama couldn’t, Miami beat Florida when Ole Miss couldn’t and California beat Auburn when Texas A&M couldn’t. The SEC isn’t what it use to be.
This guy is wrong. Clemson wins, there in. Big 12 champion is in. Neither of these 2 teams will be in tonight.
Kirby is extremely bias he would be terrible for that room.
Politicking? Let the winner be decided on the field. I hope bad referee calls don’t decide anything. IMO. The two best teams are Oregon and Texas. Go Ducks! 🦆🏈
The 12-team playoff is great! Let’s get the SEC teams out of the South. Let them travel for a change. Level the playing field. Go Bucks. 🏈👍😎
After that Ohio state loss your luck you have a weak schedule or y'alls season would be over.
So u admit that sec have the edge on all other conferences because we need to “level the playing field”, if that’s the case get lsu in the cfp
Iowa state is gonna blow out asu yall nuts
Plant that flag go blue
Clown
Miami won't be in period
Hater
Wouldn’t be to sure they are they resume trumps bama
Alabama going to playoffs???
Not yet if they do it right Miami should take they spot
Miami should be in before South Carolina(6 straight wins) and Alabama should definitely be out.
Somehow Alabama will be #7.
A 10-2 Miami team with 6 wins over winning bowl teams and 2 close losses in the final minute is more deserving than any teams with 9-3 records and embarrassing losses.
This should not even be debated.
Their losses were bad though. Syracuse ffs???
Exactly and the 2 teams bama lost too one they got spanked by not better than no team Miami barely lost too
@@ryanrobin12Syracuse and GT is better than Vandy and OU Syracuse is 9-3 GT 7-5 and took GA to 8 ots meanwhile Vandy has 5 wins and OU has 6 wins that’s pitiful
@ GT might be. They’re a really good team. But, Syracuse is absolutely not lol
My money says big game franklin gets out coached yet again.
Tennessee is already in dummy on the left.
If Georgia loses and has 3 losses you think they are in?
If Georgia loses they should be out
Yes, 100%.
As a ND fan, from columbus OH, who hates the SEC homers I have to say you leave them in. We shouldn't punish confernce championship game teams that much unless they get smoked. Plus they already beat texas once so it's just a game you are more likely to lose the second time since the loser typically can learn more than the winner from that game
No they’ll still be in with 3 losses
@@brendanboggs2883 they would not be conference champions if they lose to Texas.
Guys, let's call it like it is. This is reality. Start scheduling cupcakes at the end of the season. Easy wins. For this exact reason. Miami....are you listening? Cupcakes at the end of the season. Don't begin with the ACC schedule...don't end with it.
Also there will be limits on how my schools make it in a given conference. Watch.
Rollllllllll Tideeeeee 😂😂😂
Everyone wants bama out because they know if their fav plays them they will lose
Lol! Bama is a 3 loss has-been that got destroyed in a game by 3 touchdowns by struggling 5-5 Oklahoma team and you think they deserve the playoffs? 😂
I heard that before. Go blue
My favs are Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.
Bama loss 24-3 vs a horrible offense in OU they are not scary. SC is the scariest team and Miami is the best offense
They don’t deserve to be there
Hook 'em HORNS BABY!
“Alabama is a bigger brand and more likely to get in over ole miss” okay this is such bullshit so in fact they’re getting in not because they deserve it but because it’s Alabama!?? And I’m saying this as in oregon fan lmao the bama favoritism is disgraceful.
Ohio state > Indiana
The Number 1 Offense in CFB will not be denied.
Syracuse!!! 😂
Can't stop anything 😂
So your telling me alabama is in after losing to two unranked teams that has been irrelevant for half of a decade now well at least oklahoma, man vanderbilt has always been at the bottom around this time and they r number 11, I think bc saban gon they was gon change but no they still glazing, im starting to think its for the money
Indiana don't deserve a spot even though they have only one lose, you play one good team and lose badly you don't deserve to get in
2 score game two bad special team errors . Ohio State got beat my the team we beat at Michigan at home . Indiana is in
Miami should not be in. Neither should Bama. Id vote Ole miss or SC over Bama.
Im a GA fan...and I am scred of SC getting in. They are a beast of a team now
Penn st should never be ahead of Ohio St. they lost at home
Losing to unranked teams and still being above Georgia is an absolute joke. Miami and notre dame are trash
Georgia is trash too
ND is trash? They're the only team in the top 10 who have actually dominated their opponents since the 3rd week. Not suggesting they should be #1 at all, but they're the only team winning convincingly.
It didn't take ND 8ot to beat GT.😂
@@Jake-ss3ev Haynes King was out that game.
@Henderson1011 they always look light ms out in regular season against a relatively easy schedule then reality hits them in the face post season
Everybody knows SC beat LSU
Ok. so?
If ohio state is out then Alabama should be out.
Miami is in at 11
Unlikely
doubt it. No games at all v. top 25 teams, although Louisville may sneak back in towards the end. Either way, the SoS and quality wins just don't matchup with the 3 SEC teams in the mix. One less loss isn't enough to overcome such a discrepancy in schedule strength and top 25 opponents.
Or 12 but they will
They’ll put in ole miss or bama first
all 11-1 teams should be in..next 10-2.. the rest, go pound sand!
Bama beat 4 teams in the top 15! In the sec ! All these other conferences are garbage !!!!
Same can be said about Notre Dame EVERY FN YEAR!
GO IRISH!
Can avoid the SEC drama with a CLEMSON DUB...
Alabama in over South Carolina who beat the acc champion....got it
Are you really questioning this?
Alabama beat S. Carolina and also beat the team that absolutely destroyed that POSSIBLE ACC champion.
And of course, UGA may be the SEC champion, which certainly carries more weight than an ACC title.
Ohio State in no matter what
Miami beat Florida, Ole Miss lost
Miami beat USF (50-15), Bama beat USF (42-15)
Bama beat SC.
These are all facts. Miss me with the subjective arguments.
ACC
3-2 vs Big 12
3-2 vs Big 10
1-0 vs PAC 10
3-8 vs SEC (5/11 decided by a TD or less, 2/11 ACC blowout wins, 4/11 SEC blow outs wins)
To be fair, the Florida team that played Miami was absolutely NOT the same Florida team that played Ole Miss.
For starters, Lagway is a stud.
Miami is objectively worse than the bama, sc, and ole miss
@@alexesteve8769 Objectively their better 10-2 is better than 9-3. There’s no objective metric that measure them better. Please learn the definition of the word.

Gamecocks fan here! Ole Miss definitely deserves it before Scamabama. Tell Nick Saban to go home and play golf, he's an annoying troll.
Based on what, though? They have the same record, Bama has more top 25 wins, a stronger SoS and SoR. Ppl are focusing on Alabama's 2 unranked losses, but ALL of Ole Miss's losses are against unranked teams, with the home loss to Kentucky being a worse loss than anyone else in consideration.
Shut up I’m a Alabama fan u can take your game cock ass and set in your lazy Cher
@drewc771 Alabama was dominated by Oklahoma 24-3 whose only SEC win was Auburn. Ole miss loss was to an equally bad Kentucky team 20-17. So don't try and play that loss off and the loss at vandy like it was nothing... LSU was ranked when they beat Ole Miss in ot and ranked when Alabama beat them but they are unranked now so you can't say the beat an unranked opponent and Ole Miss lost to one
@@specialenergy5199 I didn't play off any loss as "nothing". I'm just looking at every team the same way using the whole schedule, not just focusing on one team's warts and trying to pretend these other teams don't have them, too.
Kentucky is not equal to Oklahoma. That's just a false premise. Look at any power ratings you choose, you'll find Kentucky well below Oklahoma. Kentucky had zero SEC wins outside of Ole Miss and lost by 2 touchdowns to Auburn.
@drewc771 you have to look at the total loss scores into account as well as 3 pt loss vs a 21 point is a big difference Alabama is 2-1 vs currently ranked opponents wins against UGA 7 pts at home and Missouri and Ole Miss is 1-1 with an 18 point victory at UGA to be honest I don't think either deserve to be in
BAMA bias is real - they will put them in, unfortunately.
