Your mix is the one I choose. The instruments were clear and pleasantly separated. The percussion did not drown out the Bass, rhythm and Melody sections. Thanks for the tutorial.
Yes Courtney. Amazing video, really insightful. I preferred your master. You have more control over the overall sound when you do it yourself… Beat is monsterous too 😏🤘🏼
I would absolutely love to see a mixing tutorial! I’m very new to music production, and I love the way you explain things. Thanks so much for all your content!
yes, what they said! 👍 Whenever I use Ozone, the mix comes out very clean but it loses something in translation. I love your process, very helpful. Had to watch it a couple of times though because I was distracted by that beat🔥
@@CourtneyHawkins im always curious on the why. Example why you would use an 3rd party plug in compressor vs a stock one. Another would be what desire effect are expecting by making a decision throughout the process. Example when u EQ something what do you expect you ear to hear. Hope that makes sense.
@@CourtneyHawkins I think your master at the end was great, but I couldn't help but wonder - what is the main purpose for leaving these kind of edits to be part of the mastering versus the mixing itself? The result was awesome, just trying to understand what stops you from making these changes during the primary mixing phase versus at the end . Great vid!
I have the mpc live 2 but I love the mpc system. I use it mostly for when I’m outside of the studio for laying down layers and patterns and then I export to Logic.
Hi Courtney. ( off topic) I need your help. Perhaps you can give a hint. I can't find any information about how the MacBook air on the M1 chip works with soft from NI. And in general with similar software. Are there clicks and delays? I decided to buy a new M1 mac to work with Maschine and Traktor. But there are no reviews on this topic on the web.
I don’t have any issues with any of the software except for massive x. I don’t believe it works with M1 processors. If anyone knows a work around please let us know 😉

I was on the fence about getting Ozone but this video helped. Make my decision. Thanks.

Thank you for the informative video. Would love to watch you and hear your thoughts on mixing. I think you got a great ear
I am planning a mixing video right now so hopefully I cover everything in it. Are there any specific questions that you have about mixing?
