Excellent voice and style but I regret that Benedict Cumberbatch wasn't aware that he's pronouncing the name wrong. Per the author Ngaio Marsh, it is like Allan or Allen, It does not sound like Alain. She chose the name as a tribute to her father who had attended Dulwich College, founded by Elizabethan actor Edward Alleyn. In more than one novel, Ngaio Marsh points that out by having a character who doesn't know him misspell it on a note or list due to only having heard it, not seen it written.
