Experts have theorized that since a lot of the young draftees are playing against older and more seasoned men in Europe, that they are more prepaired for the NBA than college aged kids who have only played against guys their age.
No one expects any of this class to be world class, as a ceiling the two first is expected to be at most the second best option on half the teams in the league but i guess you can never know... I guess they have the potential to be the franchise player for teams like Charlotte, Detroit and Portland.
European leagues (not all obviously) are considered the tier below the NBA. Everywhere else is a tier below European leagues.

If you're looking for a British NBA star to follow, OG Anunoby is from the UK and re-signed with the Knicks for an absolutely insane deal. (we overpaid for him to be honest) at 5 years for 212.5 Million. And it's the NBA so all of the money is guaranteed. As good as he is, he's also injury prone so I think it was a bit of a reach.
They also signed Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets for a lot of draft picks. They're definitely going all in for the next few years. Bridges also played for Villanova in college so 4 of our top 7 all went to college together.

My thoughts on the growth of international basketball are relatively few. One is that in any country the best young athletes are going to migrate to the biggest sport in the country. For many European Nations this is soccer or skiing or other pursuits. In other words... if a kid shows some natural athletic ability, or even is an overachiever, it is likely that kid will choose the national pastime to pursue in earnest. Basketball is a relatively inexpensive game to begin playing (like soccer in that aspect) so that is an option for those who are "priced out" of other options in the sporting world.
Of course... having a few foreign nationals burning up the NBA right now does not hurt!!!

This draft class is so bad that NBA executives and scouts said the first pick this year would be a #6-8 pick in most drafts
Bad is not a good term. We can’t call them bad before they even play. Just not highly touted

You guys should check out who most people think is the best player in the draft Alex sarr he went 2nd to the wizards and the only reason he went 2nd was because he didn't want to go to Atlanta
Alsx sarr played worse in a worse league than rissacher, but keep feeding on the narratives, dont become annoyed when your proven wrong

It seems that Hawks had interest in Alexandre Sarr....But he chose not to workout for them before the draft... So they went with this guy instead.
