Fantastic video! Fairly new to speed cubing and setting up my own cubes. Your video helped me a lot! My cubes have become much better thanks to you! Very comprehensive and easy to follow. Definitely one of the best videos for setting up a cube I've found, if not the best! GJ! Quick question: what do you do with the remaining black Vortex lube in the blue dispenser tip after you finish lubing the core? Should I be cleaning (or washing) it out or can I leave the black Vortex lube in the dispenser tip until the next time I lube the core of a cube? Thanks again for the content. As it is most recommended so thanku and once more Really Good Video
I like putting a slow lubricant on the internals(like the torpedoes, corner stalks, etc.) ONLY. And not on the actual pieces. So now its controllable yet quick and also smooth. Not lubricating the pieces also gives it a sandy-ish feel

I have an rs3m 2020 and it doesn’t corner cut, even when I loosen and tighten the cube. It also keeps popping even when really tight. Does lubing the cube any differently change this?

Thanks for the video. I have a GTS2M. When I tension it with the center caps off, the screws are so tall that they push up the center caps, making the tensioning pointless (because the center caps end up holding the whole cube apart). It ends up being much looser when the center caps are on. Is this something you've run into? Any solution other than tightening the screws enough to fit under the center caps?

If you’re cube comes with weight 1 lube, then can you apply further lube of a higher weight because they are both the same type of lube?

There’s always the risk so I recommend just using a napkin to wipe down the pieces

I have a Gan 356M using the Purple GES on the 0.6 setting and I’m wondering what lube to buy, I like fast but still controllable cubes with a slight gummy feel and a smooth turning cube, I would really appreciate it if you could recommend me a good lubricant combo for what I’m looking for in my cube! Galaxy is perfect for the fast but slight gummy feel! All SpeedCubeShop syringe lubes come with the dispensing tip 🙌🏻

No dont use home lube its bad for your cube. Buy lube for like 2 dollars

How many drops did you use at a time? It’ll only take 2-3 drops after you properly clean out the cube

I loaded myself up with all your advice prior to buying and trying. 2 drops of Martian in my moyu 3m and 2 drops in my WR m 2019 was enough to make them feel gummy and heavy. I added 1 drop of lunar to see if it'll speed it back up but I think it made it worse.
@@CThienV It'll definitely have a smooth feeling when you drop it in fresh but it typically shouldn't feel extremely gummy or slow. Give it some time to break in and it'll definitely speed up. I've never experienced my cubes being too slow after a few drops of cosmic lube on a fresh cube though.

I can't afford to buy lube for my rs3m 2020 so can you tell me the needs on how to make my cube faster without the lube?
Lube is really the only most efficient and effective way to speed up your cube but otherwise I recommend just regularly cleaning out your cube when you feel that it starts getting slow. Just take a paper towel and wipe down the pieces to get all the gunk and dust off.

If I miss a washer hwo does it affect my cube? I miss the washer on the red center and I have absolutely no idea where it might be its lost.
It won’t be too drastic of a difference, it’s mainly there to protect the spring from damaging the center piece. It may become an issue over time so if you’re concerned about it, SpeedCubeShop has a spare parts service. speedcubeshop.com/collections/spare-parts

How do I clean the cube?
If it’s a brand new cube you typically don’t need to clean it unless it has a bunch of stock lube. In that case, just take a paper towel and wipe down all the pieces.
