I'm 16 and I just got my first one today, the pain was like nothing, the only part that hurt was the shading, my mom let me get a full sleeve so I think its pretty cool
I see a lot of videos of people being excited to get their first tattoo, But most of them go real real small lol. I did my forearm so I can get the experience of the pain incase I needed to get more later. Which everyone will do once you get one you'll want more.
I had my Great Dane die on my lap in 4th grade bc of cancer and I had to watch him suffer for month and take care of him but ima get a tattoo of him when I can

It wasn’t bad!! Still uncomfortable but not bad! I get very fainty with piercings too but I didn’t feel like that at all with this! I’m not sure why, but I’d almost rather do another tattoo than a piercing haha
I do not want to drink coffee before getting a tattoo. They want you to sit still not been jumping around from all the caffeine, plus I would hate to be caffeinated it have to be sitting in a small chair and not be able to move
Haha I didn’t have one before as well for that reason 😅 I think it’s also for any guests you bring with you to sit because they only allow customers that are getting tattooed back there so my sister was able to sit and enjoy a coffee while I got tattooed ❤️

Half excitement, half nervs every time! I remember when i got my first tattoo, I was absolutely terrified. Its a pacman ghost outline on the base of my thumb just above the wrist 😂😂😂😂 Zero regrets.

Yall. Most people want a smaller, simplistic tattoo for their first, to know how it feels and also so it isnt all that visible. If you get a massive artpiece on your body and cant handle it, and go home with the job half done, then youve fucked up and wont have enjoyed your first tat experience. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain and my first tattoo in a few weeks is literally just a quote, it wont be small but as its just words it wont take long.

Its cute to see people defending a basic tattoo but in tattoo retrospective it is actually nothing, and could’ve been done with just stick and poke equipment and she really didn’t need to go to a famous shop to get it done/make a huge deal out of it for Internet clout, glad she had the experience and I hope she’s happy with the likes/views but it really is nothing compared to other tattoos and it’s clear she got it just for TikTok. It reminds me of people who get flash stuff off the wall not cause they like it but they wanna show that they got a tattoo.

Since it was your first tattoo, did by your elbow on the inner arm area hurt? I'm about 2in above my elbow, on the outside of my arm..wrist was the worse! A tattoo shop & coffee ? That's a dangerous combo...I'd go in for coffee and end up leaving with a coffee and tattoo appointment lol
Small tattoos like that won't give the actual pain level, But I can tell you that it will hurt if you get something bigger there in that area that is close to the inner and outer elbow area. Not fun. I just got some shading done in the inner elbow and yea....
No, I thought it was going to be like excruciating! It wasn’t like comfortable, but definitely bearable! Although it did only take like four minutes so it definitely made it go super fast!
DO IT!!!! It was better than I though, uncomfortable, but do able! As I was getting it down I thought “yup I’m now definitely going to get more” because it wasn’t the worst! Obviously mine only took maybe four minutes so idk how I’d feel after 30 minutes, but I’d say go for something small at first!

Caffeine makes you bleed out more as it raises the blood pressure and can cause people to pass out. Best to avoid for long sessions.
