I cut the first segment after the point I want it to cross over, and the second segment before this point. I position them on two tracks and make sure the beats align. Then I remove the loose ends and either do a straight cut or a dissolve. If I have an occasional voiceover, I use volume envelope on the music track, dropping the level 10-20 dB for voiceover, then bringing it back when the voiceover portion ends.
Personally, I don't like to take down the volume of the music that much for a voice over. Unless it's a tutorial or a documentary. But for hype reels, I prefer to keep the intensity of the music up as much as possible.
Thanks E this is great! Is the build up, big beat drop, slower dramatic part and then intense finish the secret sauce or do you use other methods as well? Just curious.
I don't have a set formula. But these are all great ingredients that I try to use i various ways in my hype reels.

Could it have to do with using footage that ain’t yours?
In instagram reels and Facebook, can you get away with using copyright music, I see people use them all the time and there not on the instagram library, so I wonder how they are able to use them and still get views.
Im not too sure how it works on those platforms. It’s really hit and miss. Sometimes your music will be blocked in certain countries and not others.

Yo! I’m trying to start my own sports edits channel but idk how to get the plays with the good angles for the video, I only see the broadcast angle. How do I get a clip with the angle I want?
Use the broadcast replays.
