I really appreciate all of your videos. Thank you so much. I dont think I would be passing my chemistry class this semester (and probably next semester's chemistry!) without your videos! You are very clear and to the point. You also dont talk too fast which is a huge plus as some videos the people just talk way too fast or dont explain every single step as they go along.
Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for an excellent explanation of How to identify a Double Replacement Reaction from a sentence or word problem in AP/General Chemistry. Although the material in this video is simple to understand, anything that involved word problems, I found somewhat problematic. This is an error free video/lecture on RUclips TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.
Can someone explain to me why it's potassium (K) 2 when it pairs up with sulfate (SO4)? Does it have something to do with the charge? This is what messes me up in chemical equations and everyone I've seen do them just breezes past it like it's common knowledge. I know I'm math/science challenged so maybe it is that obvious.
How to know for sure that Ag will pair up with Cl? Is there a rule that can be applied or is this something that you need to remember? Great video and awesome channel, your explanations are always clear and to the point!
I sell magic double displacement is also known as a precipitation reaction. This is because both starting compounds are aqueous and one of the products, the precipitate, will fall out as a solid after the reaction. If you do not have a solid as one of the compounds yielded you did not have a double displacement. Also another way to see if a reaction will occur is checking the affinity between the two reactants to see if there is a high enough affinity for double displacement to take place .
Man you have a bunch of videos and you have an incredible will to help people learn online but I can't get the thought that it doesn't make sense to teach and teach but never really explain what you are doing out of my head. You just do a bunch of things and say "and the potassium goes with tatata" but never really explain WHY or the REASON that makes that happen. Disgusting, really. Waste of time.

I'm gonna cry I'm so lost lol 😭😭
weird statement for that pfp but sure
@@epsilon9104how does it depend on pfp 😭😭
Thank you, and hello 100 on my chem quiz!

Вот сижу и готовлюсь к завтрашнему тесту по химии. Я капец благодарна этому человеку
So in double replacement there is
Neutrlization
Precipitation
Gas evolution reaction
So that's for double replacement?
Amazing video sir this video clear my all doubts and I m also share this video on my friends
your amazing! God bless!
How can you tell that the H2CO3 will decompose ? He says it does but does not explain how to be alerted to compounds that might behave this way

Yea it's the charge, the charge of SO4 is 2-,hence the 2- will bring down to the potassium and the potassium will become K2,
You sir, are the GOAT.
explain the joke

Acid base double displacement is a little different. H20 will always be yielded as one product
I sell magic see silver has plus 1 valency while chloride has minus 1 valency
So the positive reacts with the negative metal with non metal
7 years late, but the opposites attract, so metals reacting with stuff that need more valence electrons..
something is wrong with the audio - every time I play your vidoes I cannot hear you - but can hear other vidoes
Youre vidoes are helpful Thank you
how do you know whether to do a single or double replacement
Online teachers suck at teaching. That's why I'm here.
Can we say that double replacement reaction are of two types one is precipitation reaction and second one is neutralisation reaction
Youre the best!
sir please I'm confused In ir in wave number range does the peak take all of it or what
rU still confused???

Can you do some s,p,d blocks chemistry lessons

thank u!
How do you tell if it's aq or s 😭
What grade do you learn this in ?
low key most people learn in 10th grade
We learned this in 9th, but it’s also in the 10th grade curriculum.
You also learn this again in 1st year chemistry class in college
my school learned it in 7th
