    I left school in 1978 and went straight into painting / decorating and we used these rigs between ladders and a single plank all the time but not as high as these guys . I thought they were outlawed about 20 years ago or more . Nowadays I have one bloody big ladder and if I can't get it off that then it needs scaffolding!

    • @mickheaton4609
      @mickheaton4609 4 года назад

      @@karlfulton4854 Because of the socialist? Since when have insurance companies been socialists? They are the ones who lobby for safety measures because it gets them out of paying MILLIONS. Also, it's their life, their choice, until they die and their family sues. Guess what, suing for the death of a family member is not exclusive to one political demographic. Also, if the customer can't afford it, that means they can't afford the property, and they should sell it. You don't own a car that is out of your maintenance budget, do you? Why should you own a building that is? Owning things involves maintenance, if the maintenance is out of your budget, you shouldn't own it. That is economics 101. You aren't very smart, are you? Frankly, you are the type of idiot that does shit to endanger you and the people around you, and if you died, YOUR family would likely be the first one in line to sue. But see, because of OSHA rules, your employer would cite your actions and how they were negligent, then point to company procedures outlined in the company handbook. All of this is what his insurance companies lawyer would point to and base his case on. After all the ballyhoo a judge would find in the favor of your employer and their insurance company and you family would walk out of the courtroom penniless. It's at this point someone, somewhere in the insurance company smiles and says "Good thing we spend all that money lobbying for safety laws to protect us from claims as a result of employee negligence.
