In Morocco we have the pure breed which is the origin of the Merino breed, it's called Boujâad breed and it was imported by the Portuguese and crossed with their local breeds in the era of The Marinids Sultanate(1244-1465)!
As someone with an interest in fine men's clothing, I am highly interested in learning that a source of fine wool is so close to me. Plus, I want to support American companies.
It may be a good idea for a yone interested in sheep pr.wool to gp to a Sheep Fair pr Wool Fair/ Festival. There are usually many breeds pf sheep, and all kinds of wool on dosplay. You can talk to sheep owners and learn about differ a nt breeds. Some breeds are as small as a cocker spaniel. Some sheep are 300 lbs. And bigger than a large dog.
Producers can mass produce any color they want by dying whatever color they want in whatever amounts they want. That is why the large producers want white. I am looking into a spotted sheep because I am just a home spinner and I will get many colors in one fleece!

I love how much Judith loves and is proud of her sheep. ♡
