I don't know if you noticed, but Galactus and Unicron were speaking to each other in Iambic Pentameter. Obviously, Liam was the one who wrote their dialogue.
As a long time Death Battle fan, I can say for certain that this battle has been requested for a loooong time! One of the most hype battles for sure even if my pick to win didn't. Awesome reaction as always, Josiah!
Man, rewatching this episode with you, I think I got even more hyped on the rewatch than on my first viewing. Like you, I also initially didn’t know who was going to win and also went with Unicron. But I forgot how powerful that Ultimate Nullifier actually was.
And for the track during the fight, it’s called “All-Consuming” by Brandon Yates.
Imagine if Silver Surfer with 100 percent of the Power Cosmic, that really describes about Galactus, and Silver Surfer despite being op, it is still a fraction given by Galactus.
For some clarification on the trailer at the end, here's the battles that people have theorized it to be hinting at:
Joker vs Giorno (obviously, with the tarot)
Minato vs Neku (as an alt to Joker vs Giorno, though, the former is more likely)
Kira vs Adachi (alt to the prior two, and works because one of the images showed a tv)
John Constantine vs Raidou Kuzunoha (the tarot *obviously* represent a Persona/SMT matchup, and Constantine also aligns with the tarot quite well)
SCP 682 vs Doomsday (I don't buy the arguments for this one, but I see why people think it. Plus, the fact that it wasn't on the ToC is pretty suspicious)
Richard Nixon vs Dr. Manhattan (one of the shots looks nearly identical to the moon Richard Nixon was photographed on)
Percy Jackson vs Zagreus (there's a decent argument for this one)
Jack Skellington vs The Grinch (one of the swirls looks exctly like one of the effects in Nightmare Before Christmas, I've been told)
Korosensei vs Monokuma (a small image in the background of one of the images seems to point to it, plus it obviously has the backing of several DB crew members)
Peter Griffin vs Homer Simpson (one of the images you see is a warped version of the Family Feud logo)
Funny Valentine vs Senator Armstrong (has nothing to do with the trailer for next time, but is soft confirmed for next season)
So what are the arguments for Percy vs Zag? I hope it's legit because Percy is one of my most wanted characters for the show
@@notwesley9180 I believe it's because one of the frames shows the Rock of Sisyphus, and Percy vs Zagreus is the only popular matchup where both characters have connections to Greek Mythology.

As far as a number of people can tell(and I agree with it, despite wanting Unicron to win), here's basically what happened....
The Ultimate Nullifier worked on Unicron's body, but his spark either resisted it or got out in time, then possessed the UN in an attempt to rewrite the universe without Galactus in it....which failed when he jumped into his subspace pocket.
Galactus then simply absorbed Unicron's energy, drawing it into himself; without a soul, he can't be corrupted by the dark energon,and Unicron remains 'alive'(in the loosest sense of the word), but trapped within Galactus, unable to act, which counts as a KO for DeathBattle *and* preserves the space/time continuum, as Unicron's presence is needed for it....
