The spring on the track needs to be knocked down and bump you to the right to glide to the right. Thab basically did it in the wrong direction in one of his attempts. The very beginning of that section also shoots you to the right with the spring as well.
@@chrisloch9673 There isn't enough room to make it to the groundblocks that way. Pretty sure the intended way is to go straight to the spring and knock it down, bounce off koopa back to the spiny and then go right with full momentum to jump off the spring to gain flight
it didn't look like he could get enough umph to get to the spring without the red koopa, that would work if he could, but if that didn't work, he may have been able to know off the spring, get hit backwards to the spiny and then go fly? idk, may have to go try it.
Hmm... I know when you have the cape and are in "spin/Z-mode", you can land on a 1 block (but here it's a spring you must boop down) and Z (or fly) instantly after touching that 1 block/spring, since you keep the P-speed in Z-mode. So I think you must land on the spring with MAXIMUM horisontal momentum, to maintain the P-speed so you can take an instant fly, into a dive, and back up to the end pipe.
This seems right, go straight to the spring and knock it down, bounce off koopa to go back to spiny and then full momentum back to spring to get flight
Riukar does indeed do the 1 life hail mary. He also does the 5 life hail larry, the 10 life hail harry, the 7 life hail barry, and (once back in mm1) the 73 life hail neuzikant
